  1. The assistant store manager is incredibly rude and unhelpful. It was my first time doing a return at Zara and I was there with my 5 kids including a new born. Apparently they have a 30 day return policy and no longer offer store credit. Iā€™m completely shocked by this policy. In this day and age retuning should not be so hard. I had my receipt in hand, it was 3 items totaling about $150, and I purchased on May 29, 2024ā€¦ less than 60 days before attempted to return. Like many moms with young kids, I bought items to try on at home and then return. It was very disappointing and the assistant store manager seemed to smirk when I asked for help with the return.

  2. This store is very messy, tables are always a disaster, it doesnā€™t matter what time of the day I go (when they just opened, or at lunch time or afternoonā€¦).
I always go on ā€œweekdaysā€, when the store supposed to look the best and neat. I donā€™t even want to think or see how the store looks on weekends and when it is crowded.
Some of this store employees are not super friendly either.
Very unfortunately, this location is very close to my house, but I rather shop online.

Update! Went back again yesterday to return few items that I bought online and I didnā€™t even try them on, the box didnā€™t even make it inside my house 2 hours before I went to the storeā€¦ and the clerk had ā€œcero customer service skillsā€!!! And give me a hard time with one of the returns (unworn, with tags, I just got it on the mail 2 hours before), I couldnā€™t believe it! Very disappointing!
The store was very messy, clothes on the floor, tables were disasterā€¦

  3. Terrible customer service!! Fitting rooms were closed when visiting Zara Thousand Oaks, but to make matters worse their employee was incredibly rude when informing me of the fitting room situation. I understand being short staffed, but there is no need to be unkind. Yikes. Do better Zara!!

  4. I had the worst experience ever at this Zaraā€™s. First the childrenā€™s section was a mess and looked like it had not been kept up all day. They had clearance racks all messed up and all over the place. My daughter finally found some pants she liked that were clearly on the clearance rack with a discount sticker on it. When we went to the register the line was so long with only one register open while the other employees were walking around and a few of them were just standing in the back of the store talking. When it was finally my turn at the register, the cashier said he needed a price adjustment approval from the manager since the pants rung up regular price.

The cashier was talking to the manager over the phone and said ā€œyes it looks legitā€. When the manager Martin came up and looked at the tag and said ā€œwell we have not had a price adjustment in a while and Iā€™m not saying you put this sicker on here, but Iā€™m not going to be able to adjust the price, sorry.ā€

I told him where ā€œI found it and that there was a whole rack of clearance clothes and I can show you where I found them.ā€

He said no you donā€™t have to show me Iā€™m sorry, but these are not on saleā€ and ripped the tag off in front of me. I was so embarrassed and my daughter was so sad and she said ā€œmom does he think we did that, we literally walked in and grabbed them from the rackā€. I cannot tell you how ridiculous this guy was and extremely unprofessional.

I asked for the customer service number and I called and complained. I asked if there was anyone else I can speak with and he said no that he was the Director and rolled his eyes at me and walked away.

I can say thisā€¦I was a manager in retail for years and the Manager at this Zaraā€™s ā€œMartinā€ was an absolutely horrible manager and had zero customer service. He clearly doesnā€™t know how to manage the store as it was a mess and had a bunch of the employees talking and not working in the back while the lines were practically out the door.

To have the audacity to accuse me of putting a sales sticker on the pants is unbelievable. He needs to be removed as a manager because he is not the kind of representation any store would want. My daughter was so embarrassed that he said that in front of the rest of the customers. Absolutely horrific shopping experience.
