I am so grateful and lucky that I found Miss Yun Na. She is wonderful in doing lactation tips and providing a massage that helped me with some plugged ducts. Yunaâs lactation massage was a life saver!! She was also accommodating and squeezed in my last minute request for a consultation on a weekend. Yuna is knowledgeable, immensely helpful, and has a genuine concern for your breastfeeding journey. I definitely recommend her!
I found Yuna through Instagram as I was really eager to breastfeed my first baby. It was one thing I wished to do as I began motherhood. Initially, I found three different lactation consultants because I live far from where she is, and I wasnât sure if I wanted to see her. However, after seeing other lactation consultants and Yuna, I knew she was way more knowledgeable, experienced, and hands-on than other LCs. Itâs pretty standard in Korea to get a breast massage when there are clogged ducts or issues with breastfeeding, but I was surprised that was not the case for most American lactation consultants (based on my lack of knowledge, most of them didnât even see my breasts when I went for prenatal check-ups) When I saw her, she examined my breasts, Yuna knew that my milk wouldnât come in right away, and she was right. She tried to help collect colostrum, and knowing sheâd help me with that gave me such peace of mind. (and again, I havenât heard of any LCs who would be helping with collecting colostrum)
My milk didnât come in for almost 5 days (as she predicted), and even my hospital lactation consultants thought my baby was eating well / latched well, and they said, âYou must have milk flowing.â That was not the case, though. After I realized my baby was barely fed for 5 days, I started panicking, and I contacted Yuna. Yuna helped me even during her off day because of the seriousness of my situation, and I am so grateful for her kindness and generosity in offering to help a desperate first-time mom. She guided me through the breastfeeding journey, and I am seriously thankful that I found her. She always equipped me with the advice, and as I was following her advice, my supply increased gradually, and now I am exclusively breastfeeding. Because bottle preferencing happened initially, I couldnât succeed in latching my son directly. Still, she knew how to correct bottle preferencing, guided me through it, and tried it together in person.
If youâre looking for someone to help with anything related to breastfeeding, youâre lucky you found her. Thatâs how I feel about her, and I will wean with her. If I have a second kid or a third kid, I am going to contact her when I need help in the future. I trust her wholeheartedly and seriously canât recommend her enough.
I was referred to Yuna Lactation by mom friends and I do not regret! I first went for a postpartum massage but the massge therapist was not Yuna, it was another licensed massage therapist. However, the lactation consultation part is done directly with Yuna and it was an amazing experience. I learned so much through her and also confirmed the reasons for painful breastfeeding. She gave me suggestions and solutions that would possibly help with my breastfeeding journey to give both me and my baby girl a positive breastfeeding experience. She was super comfortable to talk to and I didnât feel like I was in any rush with my one hour appt. She was thorough with her explanations and answered anything i had questions with. She also carried special training bottles that I purchased to help my baby proper latching and train babyâs mouth for breastfeeding. I look forward to seeing her again for next consultation.
Yuna is amazing! I am thankful that I reached out to Yuna for help specifically I was a first time mom and didnât know anything about breastfeeding. Breastfeeding was not easy for me. I almost gave up because of the soreness and engorgement but she gave me a perfect breast message for the duct clogged and gave me a lot of tips to feed my baby. I was able to breastfeed my baby for a year easily because of Yuna. She is very knowledgeable and will answer every question very quickly! Not even breastfeeding, she also taught me the baby massages! The best thing is she takes most of health insurances. Very highly recommend her if you need a help with breastfeeding!
