Probably the most beautiful yoga studio that I’ve ever been to. They have SQUISHY FLOORS and big windows in the main studio, looking out on a beautiful courtyard, which was MAGIC! For those of us who are boney and heavy, this is a game changer!
Andy teaches a fantastic class at 7 AM on Mondays. It was the perfect class to warm up my hips, back, and core – the perfect start for the week, especially if you’re a guy/daddy over 40 🙌
I also appreciate the mission of this facility, and that is LGBTQ-inclusive 🏳️🌈 They’re starting a queer yoga class.
And, there are about 20+ teachers so you can find your vibe.
What a gem! I started attending Yoga on the Bluff about 2-3 years ago and then gradually started attending more classes at the studio (YES, it’s the same people running Yoga on the Bluff!).
You’ll find a wide range of “flavors” of classes from ultra-relaxing evening classes to sweaty, fully-charged morning classes. The teachers are a wonderful group of humans that are there to share their knowledge and love of yoga.
Fully donation-based (minimum $7 donation/class) means you don’t need to worry about keeping track of a membership and you also have fewer excuses to keep you from attending 😉 I never regret going to class, it’s such a treat to have a space such as this in Long Beach.
Over the past 3 years I have experienced significant shifts in my life, in part due to the access that I have to this donation based studio. Dharma is doing real work and I am just grateful to be here to witness and take benefit from it. This is a beautiful space with amazing teachers who are building community. They offer so many beautiful wellness services and workshops that everyone could take advantage of.
This is a gem! Please support and know that all are welcomed
I had the need for some yoga and Andy’s Saturday morning class was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. It was one of those weeks where my soul was restless and needed something. Andy’s class made me feel all of the emotions letting go of that energy and coming back to my balance.
Transformative experiences! I have regularly been attending both studio classes and Yoga on the Bluff for over a year now. I feel at home and at peace in this space.
Dharma, the owner and frequent teacher, is a gifted and talented leader who has inspired myself, my partner and our family into better health and wellness. The messages she shares while guiding the yoga classes has been instrumental in my personal growth and transformation.
Among the other stellar instructors that I have taken classes with are: Blak Watter, Matthew Anderson, Ed Williams, Sue Perkins, Matthew Purpura, Beto Vega, Erin Grissom, Andy Rines, and Carly Baldwin.
There are offerings for all types of yoga flow – from restorative yin yoga to intense vinyasa flow that left me drenched in sweat.
If you’re seeking a wholesome and uplifting community, it can be found here. They also have other offerings that I have participated in, including sound baths and meditation by Ed Williams, as well as massage and embodied mindfulness coaching with Matthew Anderson. All deeply impactful and inspiring!
Deeply grateful for this community of people seeking to feel better, do better and be better.
