  1. We took four large and two small tables to them to be taken down to thickness. Not only did they keep these tables for almost two months, but the quality of work that we got back was not worth the high price that was charged. Holes were drilled in the end grain of one table, deep gouges and spots where the toolpath missed the table on others, and none were the same thickness. We were told it was because of “inferior wood”, even though we used FAS Red Oak that was at 9-10% moisture content. The lumber just wasn’t purchased through them so that’s where they place the blame. In the end, we had to put in a ton of extra work to make the tables look good. Save yourself a lot of time and money, and go to someone else.

  2. I brought them 2 walnut slabs to check for dryness and milled flat. They didn’t check moisture content like they said they would then milled it, a couple weeks later it started to bow up and they called and apologized and said they would dry it and remill it. They could not kill the back because the 2 1/8 in slab I bought them would end up at 3/4 inch thick so I told them to just do the top. After I picked it up I noticed 36 holes in the top of the slab. When I tried to talk to them Alex told me it was my fault and hung up on me, now I am going to court to get my $1500 back because they won’t even try and resolve it. This is a horrible company to deal with that can’t admit when they mess up on a simple project.

  3. Really appreciate the craftsmanship and expertise found at Woodtech. Mr Fred is a kind soul who has nested this company into Huntsville’s business scene; ultimately spring boarding hundreds of businesses through commercial signage and other miscellaneous custom products. I have personally visited this amazing wood shop twice to finish up cutting boards for select friends and family members. Thanks for sharing your passion with the Tennessee Valley.

  4. WoodTech is a great place for Huntsville woodworkers to get wood for projects (and don’twant to drive too far). They have a good stock of the Alabama essentials: poplar, walnut, maple, cherry, osage orange, etc., including some wildly cool live edge pieces. They will cut and mill your selections, and I was even able to get a beautiful piece of flamed maple bookmatched! Awesome local business, and super agreeable prices!

  5. The gentlemen at Woodtech constructed a custom wooden shipping crate for my repair facility on short notice.

The quality is obvious. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs premium wooden products. These guys are the last of a dying breed.
