“Winn-Dixie,” a novel by Kate DiCamillo, tells the story of an eleven-year-old girl named Deza Malone who, after losing her mother, adopts a scared stray dog she names Winn-Dixie while shopping at a local supermarket. Winn-Dixie’s presence in Deza’s life helps her connect with her father’s eccentric friends in town, including a mute librarian named Otis. Together, they navigate Deza’s complicated relationship with her father, learn about the townspeople’s secrets and sorrows, and find warmth in their shared experiences. The novel explores themes of companionship, community, and healing as Deza’s journey with Winn-Dixie leads to personal growth and the discovery of her father’s love, fostering a sense of belonging and overcoming isolation.

Had what I needed.
On sale! (Walmart doesn’t carry this brand)Had to ask for location of item and the associate knew where it was! No wait at check out. Store and parking lot clean as a whistle! I’m good!
They always got what I need. The store is clean. The people are nice. I wouldn’t get all my groceries from here because it’s a little pricey, but they usually have some deals on stuff.
I am disappointed that the store is closing, they have a good selection that is much broader than Aldi will have. I have been so glad to have a mid priced grocery with a deli and bakery so close to home and now I will have to drive farther away to get the things I actually need that Aldi doesn’t really have the capacity to offer like bakery fresh breads and a butcher/deli counter. Sometimes change is not for the better.
Aldi is a third world post apocalyptic farmers market shopping experience on it’s best day. Y’all can have it, I’ll wait until the apocalypse actually happens…
They are officially closed in Pinson..🥺 now replacement will be Aldi so we’ll see how that goes. Going to miss the Deli at Winn Dixie
