This used to be a pretty good store to shop at but back in 2020 they started making customers wait times in line longer. Now in 2024 they recently removed the self checkout and the lines even during slow times runs about 20 to 30 minutes. To me thatâs unacceptable and now have started shopping at Foodco and Smart and Final that are both clise to my home. I will still come her if I want to get a few days worth of groceries but this is no longer a get in and get out store. Sad I will likely very rarely shop here anymore.
My go-to for most of my groceries. It use to be for all my groceries but now i purchase my produce from somewhere else. Itâs rare that you go in there are able to find fresh produce. I am sure when they order it, it is fresh but it seems like by the time it gets to the floor itâs already been sitting in the fridge for a few days and starting to go bad. I find this to be true for green onions, green beans, and cilantro; just to name a few. Please do better!
Good produce. Theyâre meat/seafood department has improved with a better selection. BUTâŠ.that Fried Chicken? Is on point!!! I prefer it over KFC, or Popeyes!! Its crispy, juicy, & if you have an air fryer â if you heat it up the next day? Itâs still juicy. I only eat breasts & wings. NEVER had a dry chicken breast from them!! HoweverâŠ.. theyâre sides in in the glass? Need a complete overhaul. Get better recipes, and stir the or âturnâ the food a few times a day. No one wants potato salad thats dark and dry on the top, or a pea salad with just mayo and pepper, then it sits and gets old looking on the top. You have to keep them stirred up to look fresh. Thereâs one guy that works in the deli â a tall heavy set young black guy. Definitely NOT experienced in âcustomer serviceâ. Doesnât hardly speak, doesnât say âthank youâ when he hands you your food. Itâs as if he doesnât want to be there. Good friendly customer service keeps people coming back. He should be moved to another department.
Pittsburg Winco is best shopped earlier in the morning before the, âDifficult Peopleâ get up and shop. The Winco employees are always polite and helpful despite the customersâ negative attitudes. The food quality and fresh produce is always on point. Every time I shop closer to noon I see problems and prefer Lone Tree Winco.
Sucks now! Long wait lines since self checkout been taking out.. but still canât beat them prices though
