Wow! Not only a beautiful establishment but an amazing staff! I needed to reschedule a tour super last minute and not only were they helpful, but also super understanding! They ensured quality service and information while on the tour and answered every question I had. Seriously awesome people working here.
Shawn – Manager and Jackson –
Maintenance Staff Member collaborated with us in a beautifully timely manner to address a concern we had with with a 1:4″ round baseboard in our bathroom. The issue was rectified and the work was professional, clean and expedient. We appreciate all you do!
Alex was awesome! Fixed our broken blinds and even went above and beyond to fix our loose gate latch which I hadn’t even noticed yet! We appreciate always having him around!!
Lived here for 4 years and here’s what I wish I’d known before moving here….
Very noisy complex. There are a lot of college aged people living all around us, lots of young families, and dogs. We lived on the main street of the complex (with all the daily noisy trucks and street sounds), the hundreds of crows that live here, and the airplanes flying by 24/7, it’s loud! I am the type of person who loves having my windows open but it drives me crazy how loud it is. It’s good to note that our last place of residence was very quiet and peaceful so maybe I’m just not used to lots of noise.
The water bill is too high. Here’s why, if you live here you’ll pay about $20 for water usage (for approximately 2 people) but the water company, because we live in THIS complex, also charges an additional $20 a month to “access” their water. They also charge you a flat rate based on the building you live in. So my husband and I live in a 2 bedroom 2 bath and they automatically charge us for a “large multi person household.” When we told them that it’s literally just two people living there they said it didn’t matter, it’s the building. Our water bill is crazy high here. Add in all the other utilities (because they make you pay for everything else except trash) it’s a lot of money on bills! When you add in the crazy high cost of rent it gets up there!
This neighborhood is very busy with lots of foot traffic. We like our windows open but lots of people are always walking around (great if you have dogs or like to be really active) but it’s always SUPER awkward because everyone here stares. No privacy (unless you always keep your blinds closed).
This place has raised the rent by 10% each year we lived here. They are definitely out to get your money. Our rent started nice and low but every year since, we’ve paid around $200 more. Ultimately this is why we moved out. For a 2 bed 2 bath we were looking to pay $4,000 a month.
If you have pets you’re expected to pay a pet deposit upon moving in, as well as a $25 monthly fee per pet! They only allow 2 pets maximum.
You have hook ups for a washer and dryer but you have to either bring your own or pay an added monthly bill to rent them.
Now, here are things I love about living here,
It’s pretty nice! The inside of the apartment is pretty spacious. High ceilings and lots of light. Great windows! When you close the windows it keeps out a lot of the sound. The neighbors upstairs aren’t as loud because the flooring and ceiling are done right! That’s a big deal for us because our last place wasn’t built as well and we could hear every footstep. However, if you have kids living above you, pets, or someone who is heavy footed then you’ll be truly annoyed.
Dealt with a few people in the leasing office and some of the people were very helpful and went above and beyond. Some weren’t. I guess it just depends on who you talk to. Sean and Alba are the most competent, friendly, and respectful. Everyone else is rude.
If you are interested in living here they have great customer service. They actually answer the phone and are super helpful. HOWEVER, when you already live here people are definitely not as helpful or patient. They won’t answer your calls unless you call the line for people who are ”interested in leasing an apartment.” I always called that number and someone always answered.
The pool and walking path are super nice and are their main selling points. Because of that, the pool is always busy unless you go before 11am.
Overall, we liked living here even though we felt that it’s TOO expensive. So, if you’re looking to live in a nice, (a bit too noisy) area for about $4,000/month in Goleta, then look no further.
It’s a nice place to live, quiet and safe. The leasing office is very helpful!
