The day I was in there last week was spectacular. It was like everything was stacked to the hilt. And all the food well well displayed.
This was the third whole foods we had been to today my mom and I were out checking out the different sites to see what the difference might be in the pastries mostly ha ha this ended up being the best one on this side of the hill were from Santa Cruz and of course were partial to our stores but I must tell you that this one off Blossom Hill was pretty darn good. We had just come from the store on Almaden Expressway which I’ll give it a review in a minute because it wasn’t so good but this one here was great it was clean people were friendly they helped you out almost to the point where it was alright already!! ha ha! We ended up getting several of the snacks in the pastry department to sample and I got lots of pictures of them because they were Yum Yum good good whole foods store.
I go to Whole Foods Los Gatos sometimes to make an Amazon package return. The other return options are closer to where I live so I don’t prefer Whole Food. I had an okay experience at the Whole Foods fish monger’s station. Excuse the graphic details but I asked him to chop the head off the trout and he didn’t. He cleaned the crab beautifully which was hard work but the crab quality was not good: It was part mushy. The salmon was perfect. If I decide to shop there again, due to a package return, I will need to buy certain things and stay away from others. The fish monger was super smart and extremely nice. Maybe he gave my properly cleaned trout to someone else by accident. He’s probably a good guy.
Quite simply, Whole Foods lacks whole foods. Much of what is sold here is not organic and the prepared foods contain unnecessary ingredients and “natural” flavorings. This is shame because back in the day this was a great, healthy and high quality grocery store.
Super clean and wonderful. Meat department is excellent. Produce is great. Bakery just beautiful.
