Always have and will love this location I used to work here back in June and recently left back in September and I wanted to say thank you to my team lead Josh and coach joni who taught me a lot when working meat/produce I would recommend this place for anyone that wants to work and that has a good work ethic not lazy bums
First of all, when I arrived there were lots of police outside the entrance arresting people. I should have gone with my first intuition and left but I didnât. I then walked in and several police officers are walking down an aisle looking down aisles looking for someone. After they left I continued my shopping and 4-6 teenage guys were playing in the aisles with balls and riding a motorized scooter for handicap people. No security in sight. They were disturbing shoppers and no doubt had no supervision and loitering. Still no security! I asked for security and one of the associates said they donât hav security at this hours which was about 9:00. Due to such a terrible shopping experience and what I consider a very unsafe area, I will not be shopping there again and will tell others. This Wal-Mart was at one time a nice and safe place to shop but I have seen it go through lots of decline in the past couple of years.
Self checkout out took my cash did not show any record of my transactions. They tried to review the cameras, but the cameras were unplugged. I had to wait over an hour for a IT technician to come in to plug up cameras and review the camera showing that I did insert the amount of money I did before they gave my money back. The manager on duty never apologized and told me she didnât see a need to apologize because I was trying to insert too much money and caused the register to shutdown. If anyone has used self checkout you know once youâve entered enough money the cash feeder stops letting insert money and starts processing your payment. The head cashier and regular cashiers were great and they apologized several times. The closing manager on duty(her name was Sylvia Sullivan, something with an S) on Sept 23,2024 needs customer service training bad. She gave no apology, no area for me to wait in while they reviewed the cameras for over an hour and no gift card or discount for the hour + of inconvenience that was caused.
Linda and Rhonda in the electronics department expressed racism or prejudice towards me yesterday. Rhonda insinuated that I was only able to afford an item because in her own words âit must be tax seasonâ. First of all tax season is over and in addition, regardless of where my funds come from is none of her concern. Linda was also rude. She was unwilling to help stating she was about to get off work, but yet she stayed the entire time up until I talked to her manager Ed. I donât like to throw the race card out, however I didnât witness either Linda nor Rhonda treating any other customer of their race with the level of disrespect that they showed me. Corporate has been contacted and I will ensure that something is done to remedy this situation.
I am usually very critical of Walmart. But I have to do this review just to show there are truly great people employed at the Trussville location.
This review is 100% because of Billy in the automotive dept.
Billy personally helped me with getting the tires I wanted for my truck, even though they no longer stocked them. He called another store and confirmed that they had them. I went to the other location, and bought the tires and brought them back. Billy made sure my truck had nice new tires and an oil change before the end of the day.
This is why only the Trussville Walmart will service our oil and tires.
Thank you Billy for your patience and going the extra mile to make my tire shopping experience easy.
Welcome to the Trussville store.
