The Vintage 72 collection captures the nostalgic allure of the 1970s, encapsulating the era’s distinctive style, cultural milestones, and defining moments. 1. A vintage shop that ACTUALLY SELLS vintage things. I could not believe how reasonable the prices were as most antique shops price things at unobtainable prices. There were gems everywhere I looked and with a second floor ( downstairs) my shopping experience was enhanced that much more.

My personal favorite was their prayer corner/nook. Not everyone has the same religious beliefs, but a business with a foundation of love and care is one I will always support.

This will be my new go-to shopping spot from now on!

  2. One of the best vintage/antique shops in North Alabama. This place has everything you could possibly be looking for from vintage furniture to handmade custom pieces. The size of the building looks deceiving from the road because it is twice the size when you walk in the doors. The basement area is full of “mantiques” from a booth full of vintage records, stereo gear and neon signs to another with live edge wood. There’s porcelain signs to vintage toys and games. It’s your one stop shop for anything vintage. Hence the name…If you haven’t been recently be sure to stop in and give them a visit. Great vendors/booths and even better owners. Just an overall amazing shop.

  3. I stopped in to see about selling some of my own items in there, and I didn’t have the 5 star experience that other people had.

I wasn’t dealing with the owners, so keep in mind that my experience was based off of one employee, but in my later visits, she is still there, and still snippy, so I am ruling out the possibility of “just a bad day”.

I brought in a handful of my things and asked if the Funky Monkey had a place / market for my items, and the worker was dismissive, combative and downright hateful. She was pretty much acting like the last thing she wanted was a vendor in the store. It was bad enough that another vendor followed me out to the parking lot to gossip about the incident. While we were in the parking lot, a second vendor pulled up and joined the party. The short of it was they both encouraged me to reach out to the owners, but several visits later, I haven’t been able to catch the owners. In case you are thinking that I was selling junk, I added pics of my stuff (self serving, I know) to show that I had quality products to sell.

Other than the attitude of the worker, it is a cool place. A bit strange in the layout, and the downstairs area flows better than the upstairs. Lots of cool items (lots of not so cool ones too), and a good spot to make an unusual find.

For what it’s worth, I would have given 4 stars were it not for a grumpy clerk.
