1. Venditoris is one of our favorite restaurants. We can’t seem to visit Auburn without a meal here. When they bring your drinks, they also bring a huge bowl of salad to be shared by everybody at the table. The light Italian dressing is delicious, and the bowl is bottomless as they will bring you all you want. They also bring a bowl of homemade rolls floating in garlic butter. They are to die for. Tonight, my wife had the chicken parmesan, which comes with a side of spaghetti. She really enjoyed it. A lot of times, I normally indulge in the sausage parmesan, but tonight, I ordered the veal parmesan, which also came with a side of spaghetti. It was delicious. They have a fantastic selection of deserts, but we could eat no more. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service.

2. When I first tried the salad and the bread that they give for free, it was exciting because it’s really good and you will think the rest of the menu will be as excellent. This however is definitely not the case.

   While I like al dente, a little bit extra cook doesn’t bother me. The pasta dishes here however are overcooked to the point of near mush. The pasta dishes aren’t drained properly either and have a lot of water.

   I got the Venetian and the breading was soggy with excess oil which was extremely unpleasant in flavor and texture.

   Their Cabernet was excellent and the decor of the place is really nice and interesting. It’s a shame that the mains are so god awful. I would give the place a lower score for the food but whoever prepares the salad and bread is doing a great job.

3. Took us two years to get here after moving to Auburn. Heard nothing but rave reviews and we weren’t disappointed. We were seated in a comfortable, quiet booth. Felt like old world establishment right down to music. We loved the rolls and salad. Our entree’s were fantastic. Large portions so plenty for leftovers. Only suggestion would be to slow down the delivery of main course until we’d had time to enjoy the salad .

4. Great experience all around. Was on a 30 minute wait list but we were seated in only 15. Excellent service despite the restaurant being quite busy. Meatball and calamari appetizers were excellent. Entree pastas were cooked perfectly. No room for cheesecake so we’ll come back again. Plan for leftovers as entrees are generously portioned. And the garlic buttered rolls make everything better!

5. First time here… definitely worth the drive! Appetizer calamari, 2 waters, comes with bread and salad, lasagna with meatballs and papagallo, cannoli and cheesecake…$77. Went on a Saturday, right when they opened at 4:30CST and they already had a pack of people waiting in the parking lot! Staff was very friendly and service was quick. Food was delicious, meatballs need a bit more seasoning but that’s my only complaint. Papagallo was delicious!!! Who knew marinara mixed with alfredo was so good!! Good portion sizes, very filling but with appetizer, salad and bread before, that’s not hard…LOL. Took dessert home, cannoli and cheesecake, sooo good!! Cheesecake was not like others, so rich tasting you can’t even get through it, it was evenly balanced and flavorful…I will definitely be back!!!
