  1. Vallarta Supermarkets is a fantastic grocery store that offers a wide variety of food items to meet all your shopping needs. One of the highlights of this store is their deli, which provides affordable and delicious meals. The deli features a great selection of authentic, ready-made food, including family meals that are both fresh and budget friendly.

The store also features a well-stocked floral area with fresh flowers, adding a lovely touch to your home or event. The produce department is extensive, offering a large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables to keep your kitchen well-stocked with healthy options.

It’s also good to know that Vallarta Supermarkets is open 7 days a week, including holidays such as the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. This makes it incredibly convenient for any last-minute shopping needs. Also to mention that they have hot and ready meals to go during the holidays such as cooked whole turkeys as well as many authentic side dishes.

Overall, Vallarta Supermarkets is a great store for all your grocery needs and more. With its variety of offerings, affordable prices, and high-quality products, it is an excellent choice for shoppers in National City. Highly recommended!

  2. I enjoyed my shopping experience here! Stablishment was very clean and well organized. I was able to find everything I needed with ease. Well stock with local and international products. The staff was super friendly too. Lidia was helpful with my request and you can tell Lidia’s team takes pride on all they do! Highly recommended! Happy shopping!

  3. Buyers beware, spoiled seafood.

I bought blue crab from the meat counter on 5/6 about 4pm. They were double bagged and given to me. I got home and was preparing to clean them and the minute I opened the bags I was hit with the most foulest odor I ever encountered. If this is what death smells like, I pray I never experience this again. There is absolutely NO WAY the person at the meat counter thought these were good.

I immediately got in my car to return them. They were only $11 but it’s the whole principle.

I get to the store and ask the man where do I get a refund. He smells them and immediately starts interrogating me. How long did I have them, when did I buy them. I told him an hour ago he is really analyzing my receipt and the meat counter tag looking for discrepancies. Then he is asking if I have the visa (that I paid with), again analyzing the last numbers with those on the receipt. He is really making me feel like a criminal for $11. He tells a cashier to refund me, again, analyzing my visa like I’m really trying to get over. The audacity to sell ME poisonous seafood and treat me like it’s my fault. Then the cashier wouldn’t give me my original receipt back even though I had other items on there.

Never will I EVER go back to this market. And I’m also filing a complaint with the Department of Public Health Food Safety.

  4. They have a great selection of desserts, cakes, tres leches cake, and bread rolls /bolillos.

They offer tacos with lengua, cabeza and more.

They have aguas frescas and nearly every Latin American liquor.

They have a varied selection of tortillas in corn and flour and in different sizes.

They have a good selection of meats and some good deals on beef.
