We visited from Texas and were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and food at Urban Cookhouse. I’d be curious to try other sandwiches, but would definitely pair it with more broccoli salad.
This was our 2nd visit…we pass through B-ham 4-5x every year and now we are going to make this our regular stop (along with coffee from Prevail Union just down the street)
Great, local fresh food, unique menu, solid portions and considering all that…very reasonable prices for a downtown lunch stop.
First time for this location. The staff were friendly and answered questions I had about the menu. I chose the Buffalo chicken wrap with the side salad. The wrap was good and flavorful. The side salad could have been a meal in itself. Overall a good choice for lunch. I recommend it to anyone.
In humid and hot Birmingham, this store’s AC is very welcoming!!
There is plenty of seating, perfect for big groups! They also have really nice bathrooms and it’s connected to a bank so it has a vault theme bathroom and it was pretty creative!
Their lemonade was refreshing! The fruit salad is refreshing and they give a good amount of fruit! The chicken sandwich was good too, I really liked the bread!
I used a delivery app to order. I chose the Balt with red pepper soup and their orange rolls!
Everything was absolutely perfect and full of flavor! These are three must-try foods, tasty and savory!
