1. Being in the military for over 3o years, I have traveled to many destinations and had stayed in many hotels during my lifetime. This place is so far one of the BEST places I’ve been. Not only do have nice rooms and cozy gathering areas but what really stands out are the services they provide like an awesome front desk staffs, Ms. Nash and Ms. Teysha. I was having problems in extending my stay using my phone, when I finally gave up and went to the front desk and asked for help. Ms. Nash, the front desk supervisor, immediately stopped what she was doing and helped me with correcting my reservations online. Then she went one step further by allowing me stay in the same room without having to check in and out. I can see that Ms. Nash is a wonderful leader, a teacher, a friend, and mentor to her staff with one of the BEST customer service I’ve ever seen in my life.

   But it did not stop there. I’ve decided to try their complimentary breakfast. Everything was clean and nicely presented. On top of having such a friendly staff like Ms. Mattie. I love that she has a smile on her face every morning with such positive attitude and she was very helpful and constantly cleaning after the customers. Thank you, TownePlace Suites of Tuscaloosa for having such wonderful and friendly staffs. God bless you and may God continue to bless you and your entire team with love, peace and unity.

2. UPDATE:
   I was told 5/24 that I would be contacted on 5/28 to resolve the issue. I had to call bc they never called me back. When I was in touch with the person that previously contacted me, she said the manager asked if I would take down the review if I am refunded. I said I would not take down the review. I haven’t heard from anyone since and I haven’t been refunded.

   I stayed here 2 weeks ago while I was in town for work for one week. Outside of the BED BUG issue, my stay was nice. The front desk staff were great and accommodating and even let me check in a couple hours earlier as I had just been in a car accident a couple days before and was still experiencing body aches.

   I was getting bit all week and thought maybe it was a mosquito bite or redness from the car accident. Everyday, something new would show up. I decided to look at my mattress on Thursday night because I just couldn’t take it anymore and I randomly had another mark on my face, and there was a beg bug crawling on it. I called the front desk, the staff came in and took a picture of the bed bug. I asked to move rooms and they had no rooms available so I had to check into another hotel at 10 pm, which they told me they would refund. I was also given a number to someone on the leadership team to call.

   Since checking out, I have left messages and called and have not been contacted back, except by the manager who requested to have my number to call me back and make the situation right. I have not heard anything since last week and he failed to reach out to me to resolve the issue.

   I tried to resolve this with them because I understand that sometimes things happen and honestly the front desk staff were always so pleasant. However, I am very disgusted with the fact that there were bed bugs but also disappointed in the lack of concern over this issue. This has never happened to me before and the amount of stress that went into making sure I didn’t take them out of the hotel with me was overwhelming.

   I will be taking further measures at this point to make sure my issue gets resolved.

3. Basic rooms – ours was clean and no bugs. I did request extra linens through the app but got no response. When I asked at the desk I was helped right away. Location is good but it is scary pulling out on the busy road out front. Try to not make a left – we saw a few accidents.

4. BUGS. I shouldn’t have to say anything more, but I will. We were here for Bama Bound new student orientation. It’s close to UA, so it’s convenient on that front. Checked in, dropped off our luggage, and went out to dinner. When we came back, we were horrified to find BUGS crawling all over our bed, the headboard, and the lamp next to the bed. Some looked like flying ants, and others were BED BUGS. I can’t wait to get to pay to have all our belongings heat treated before we take them back in our house!

   The man at the front desk was very nice/helpful and got us switched to another room. At 10:30 at night…ugh. Still, the damage was done…none of us slept well as we kept worrying about/imagining bugs crawling on us at night. The spit on the wall of our suite was the last straw.

   We will NOT stay here when we come in town for games/visits. Look at our pictures, and you can decide for yourself. One last variable to consider – this hotel is on McFarland Avenue. VERY loud road.

5. People were very nice and friendly. Checked in late, room was nice and clean at the glance, took a shower and fell asleep as soon as I hit the sack, until the next morning, opened the blinds and there was a pair of underwear tucked in the corner, vomit!
