I love the detail the ladies put into cleaning. Great stay very comfortable . Front desk is awesome. Breakfast is fantastic a lot of great options to choose from. Great gym
I recently stayed at TownePlace Suites Birmingham South and it was my first time at a TownePlace! It sure did not disappoint. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchenette. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. The location is convenient for exploring Birmingham. Highly recommended!
I spent a month at the hotel for work. I really enjoyed my stay. Most of the reception desk staff (Amani, Ryland, Sinethya, Victoria and Tasha (I hope that’s her name) were very pleasant, happily welcoming you as you enter and wishing you a good day when you leave. My suite was very spacious, with plenty storage. The hotel was clean and surprisingly quiet. There are filtered water dispensers on every floor, as well as an ice machine on the first floor. They have a small but useful gym, which was empty the majority of the time. There’s ample parking and is centrally located, close to Walmart, a movie theater, and I-65.
There are a few areas for improvement: * although laundry is free (which I appreciated) one of the only 2 washers (there are 4 dryers) has been broken for a couple of months from what the manager stated.
* breakfast (also included) is ok but edible. What bothered me most, though, was that the plastic utensils were always placed facing up, which meant that everyone had to feel over the forks, spoons and knives to get their own.
* a couple of the front desk staff were less than pleasant (one man, Brian, looked incredibly bothered that I approached the desk) but I didn’t see him afterwards so perhaps he’s left.
Overall, I would recommend staying at the TownePlace Suites Birmingham South.
This hotel does have good location, close to the interstate. The rooms are good. The service is average with a reception team that only knows one word “No” for anything that you may ask. No shower caps, no tootpaste, even no blankets, seriously??? It is horrible team there. Hot breakfast was available, normal, nothing fancy. The kitchen in the room had two dirty towel and when when we arrived. As we arrived late I did not raise a concern but that is bad.
While in town for SEC baseball tournament we enjoyed the room at Town Place Suites for several reasons. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet and clean and comfortable. Tall ceilings were a nice change from the typical room. The breakfast was very good with a great variety of food to choose from. The location was great being close to Hoover. And being a suite it had a large kitchen area and nice size fridge for the previous nights leftovers. Lol. The last day there they had an issue with the hot water and being respectful I mentioned it to the staff so they could check it out before renting it to the next guest. They gave me a generous amount of points on my bon voye account for the trouble. Very kind of them. Thank you
