This is a great breakfast place with great service. An actual hidden gem, since most roads lead West or East of Tollhouse. This place is worth looking for and coming back to, especially for those of us who enjoy touring the foothills. A quiet spot, in the quiet spot between the National Parks. This is my best foothill find.
I live near by and this is the closest food option for me.
Unfortunately since the owner has been gone due to knee surgery the service here has gotten really bad. From being left on hold for 15min to when I arrived got the smallest piece of chicken on my sandwich with a piece of cheese the must have just pulled out of a fridge and placed it on top.
Then today. I order a breakfast burrito like I always do. Then arrive to have fried frozen potatoes in my burrito instead of country potatoes. For what it cost for food up here that’s just plain lazy when she knew better.
Just horrible attitudes and service. I will not return and waste my $ here. I’ll just drive an extra 30 min and get more for my $.
I feel bad because the owner is such a nice and awesome guy. When he’s the one helping I’ve always had a great experience.
I make a trip up here every couple weekends to grab a burger and some beers. Beers always cold and foods always great. All the staff are all super nice and it’s always a pleasure to chat with them as well.
Excellent burgers and fries served here! Well worth a side trip if you’re passing through the area. (My wife says the Ortega burger is the “best she’s ever tasted”.) Lovely mountain scenery to gaze at while you eat, too.
LOVED!!! This place! The food was so good! My Wife absolutely love her plate and she is a bit picky.. The staff was great! I would go every day if it was close to home. Also has a Beautiful view 😍.
