This park is beautiful, spacious, and packed with activities!!! Very big rig friendly! This was my second time parking my 43ft 5th wheel and as a novice, pulling in and out could not be easier!! Well maintained and the service and employee here are phenomenal! Another cool thing is one of the ladyās that works here will feed the deer everyday so it is without fail that you can see 10, 20, or even 30 deer grabbing a bite to eat!!! I love this park and I will be back at least once a year if not more!!!
We loved our time here. While thereās not a lot to do in the surrounding area, the park grounds definitely make up for it, especially if you have a boat, kayak, or canoe. The lake is amazing. The dock/lake observation area is gorgeous. Some things do show age, but are well kept. It is quiet and peaceful. We didnāt go to the pool, but it looked very nice. The local town is small and adorable. Highly recommend!
Granted we have only stayed at 4 other Thousand Trail Parks but this one is the best one yet. Every site is full hookup. The A-Loop is 50 amp and mostly annual members who enjoy coming on the weekends. The B-Loop is 30 amp and the C-Loop is the newest section with 50 amps. Most of the sites are not water front, the sites that are waterfront are taken by annual members. The sites are large enough to sit outside and not be on top of your neighbors, with lots of trees. planted nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful, the grounds are well cared for, the roads are in very good shape, the clubhouse is large and in good shape, the lake is beautiful! The pool is clean and has a great polymer lining that doesnāt scratch your feet. While the bathhouse in C-Loop is new and clean, seriously one of the nicest campground bathhouses weāve seen, the other bathroom is older and outdated and smelled like someone had washed their dog in the shower (the one time we went over there on a walk). The laundry room uses an app and is $2.25 a load. If one of the machines doesnāt work you have to report it to the app and itās royal pain in the backside, but thatās a whole review in and of itself. Hidden Cove also has a small playground, mini golf course, 9 hole disc golf, basketball & pickle ball court, volleyball, and horse shoes. If you like to walk there is plenty of room to walk the campground roads. If you put on more mileage and/or run you might want to use the paved road, but bring something to deter the slew of dogs that run at your heels. AT&T gets 3-4 bars while Verizonās service was sketchy at best. Our favorite part of this park was swimming every afternoon, either in the pool or in the beautiful Smith Lake! There are some historical places to visit but they are about 40 minutes away. There is a small grocery store in the town of Arley, but you might want to stock up before you come, if you use a lot of fresh fruits and veggies. All in all a great stay for us!
We stayed in our RV for 3 weeks during the July 4th holiday. It was an absolute pleasure. The lots are clean and spacious. So many deer, bunnies, and fireflies. We loved swimming in the lake and taking nature walks. The pool was clean and refreshing. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had an amazing vacation and canāt wait to come back. Thank you for the great memories!
Nice campground with lots of pull through and backup full hookup sites. If you have a boat they have slips available. Some staff are very Friendly and inviting including the lady housekeeper/ranger and the thousand trails sales representative. The main problem with the park is location, itās a long ways from anything.
