  1. Always check your bill before you leave, because once you walk out, as I did, you will find it very difficult to get it fixed.

I stayed at the hotel last week and let them email me my bill. But when I went to do my expense report, I found that on two days they charged me an extra $50 for Valet parking (in addition to the $45 self-parting fee). How their system doesn’t catch such errors is problematic to begin with but things only went downhill from there.

I called the hotel several times and got no answer.

I called a corporate number and was basically told there was nothing they could do but open a case which would be responded to within 10 days (mind you, my confidence in the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution was disintegrating by the second at this point).

In a hope-against-hope last ditch effort, I called the hotel again. This time, I got through to someone, and was told that it would have to go to ‘the committee’ for review and that, if they approved, I would get a refund in 10 days.

Marriott: Why should I continue doing business with you if this is how you treat your customers? The first time I called I should have gotten through to a person and had a refund issued on the spot. This is absolutely unacceptable.

  2. Fantastic hotel. Best I’ve ever stayed at. Room service was phenomenal. Beds and linens were comfy. Bathroom fixtures were clean and nice. Staff was very good. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO LOST AND FOUND FOR YOUR HELP!!! 3 hour drive away and realized I had left behind something very important and they found it within 45 minutes of me calling and got it in the mail to me. Thank You so much!

  3. Good hotel, overall. Rooms were clean including the windows. Service was great including valet, front desk, restaurant and housekeeping. Location is very safe within few blocks all directions. If you don’t need in and out parking privilege, you can park in the structure next to the hotel for $20 per 24-hours. It’s a 30 second walk from the hotel.
Only 1/3 of the pool is useable for kids before it gets too deep. Restaurant food is average. Platinum elite benefit was an upgraded room to junior suite and $12 off per breakfast entree per adult.

Would stay again just for the service.

  4. Absolutely amazing hotel! Can’t wait to come back. Beautiful rooms, the lobby was nice. And so nice to have a cafe that services pretty much anything you could get at Starbucks. Lots of options for other beverages too

  5. It provides a decent experience. Nothing special. The gym if you lift weights is tiny, and unusual for these type of hotels. The valet guys were great. The front desk had a sleepy team. Good location for the mall if you’re into that. Remember this is Orange county. Land of Street roads that are freeways + mini malls packed with plastic people. Leaving it feels like when you step off a plane. You’re glad to be done.
