Loved the huge quiet rooms. Excellent service from the friendly hotel staff. We were able to successfully request soft feather pillows, replacing large lumpy ones. The mini fridge and small work/breakfast table were convenient. The shower door was quite leaky, it didn’t seal shut, but the bath towels and bath mat were thick and good quality and could dry up and sop up puddles.
The hotel is super convenient to everything. A 20 minute ride on a local bus that seemed about as quick as an Uber and only $2.50 per person. Also quick bus ride to Balboa Park, the zoo, and North Park, a fun neighborhood, where we did a great Street Art Tour.

What a beautiful resort! very classy yet trendy. The location could not be any better. We were in the heart of San Diego’s Downtown, 10 minutes walk from Harbor bay and 15 min walk from Little Italy. My kids and I loved our stay in this great place, but the most amazing asset this resort has to offer is its staff. From a sincere and warm welcome from Cole at valet parking, to the great recommendations from Suzzanne and Tom the start concierges, everyone we encounter were very helpful and accommodating. Plus the Destination Fee of $25 per night comes with many perks like 2 comp drinks every night!!!! We are definitely coming back.
This is a fantastic hotel. First the people and service. Top Notch. Doesn’t matter if they were in the restaurant, the valet, front desk or concierge they all went above and beyond. The location was great. Easy on the highways and close to waterfront and lastly the beds … well as usual were “heavenly” highly recommend. I’ll be back. Well I came back about 5 weeks after the last trip. Another fabulous stay. I just wanted to call out the concierge Juliane. She is incredibly helpful but what really impressed me is she remembered my name from my previous stay. I couldn’t believe it. Make sure you take the harbor cruise it’s really nice to cruise the Bay and see all the Navy ships.
The Westin San Diego offers a exceptional facilities. The staff’s warmth and professionalism make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. You won’t believe it, but they have exercise gear including shoes! The rooms are impeccably clean, with plush beds that ensure a restful sleep. The location is perfect for exploring the city. Truly a 5-star experience. Highly recommended!
Room had two beds, and they were super comfortable. Netflix available. Pool was a great refresher. Coffee bar with featured Starbucks drinks in lobby, with bar and restaurant. Drinks pricey. Rob the Bar Manager, and Reuben were great!
The shower in the room was bizarre… huge gap in the door which led to water going all over the floor. Assume that this gap is to check water temperature before getting in, but poor design.
Small fridge in room. On outside of Gaslamp so it was pretty quiet. Didn’t try the restaurant, food looked great though. All staff we encountered were pleasant and smiling. You’d get a hello from everyone.
Would stay again when in the area.
