So, you know how they say “you should try everything at least once”?
Well, we try to venture out and try new places on every vacation.
The Steamer Baked Oyster Bar is one of those things. Nothing offered fried so, seemingly healthier options, I guess.
For starters, let me say, it wasn’t absolutely terrible.
We ordered chips & salsa along with the Spinach Artichoke dip & chips for the appetizers. The salsa wasn’t bad but, it tasted EXACTLY like Pace picante sauce. The Spinach and Artichoke dip was ok but, not something we’d ever order again.
My son had a burger and potato salad, my daughter, my husband and I all ordered the Shrimp and Whitefish with green beans, corn on the cob and potatoes. I should have read reviews before we were sitting at the table waiting for or meals. 🙄
The food was just ok and the portions were, well, for 19.99, I guess I expected to have more on the plate. The shrimp was overcooked and the green beans were steamed, I’m sure but rubbery in texture. The menu was on the pricey side but the food at least was edible.
I wish we had chosen another restaurant for supper.

Great food. The butter in a dispenser was best idea. The amount of food is great. Service with utensil served on a plate. Very professional.
Update… the food wasn’t as good as the 1st time, but it was good! I ordered shrimp & grits with andouille sausage. The shrimp and grits came with potatoes and green beans. My boys had a hamburger and shrimp. Overall the food was good. The grits and green beans could’ve had a bit more flavor. Our waitress was really nice & helpful!
The food was very good. Got the crayfish oysters and shrimp and reds. All was perfectly cooked and great. Would definitely recommend
Great food and quick delivery. Our server in particular wasn’t the best but others during visit appeared to be doing a good job. Would recommend the food and the cost seems appropriate to quantity/quality of food.
