I lived here between 2021 and 2024 and absolutely loved it.
First, the building is truly unique; it’s a historical building with lovely architecture and interior design from early 1900s San Diego. You almost feel like you’re in another time period. There’s nothing else like it.
My unit (302) had a beautiful view of Balboa Park, got tons of sunlight, and was the perfect place to call home.
The building feels safe and secure, has a beautiful courtyard and lobby, and the property manager (Andi) is one-of-a-kind — always on top of building events, notices, takes care of requests, all of my maintenance was quickly resolved each time… she makes sure everyone is taken care of and it really felt like its own quiet community of grown ups. I loved the grown up/mature, yet friendly vibe and the people that lived here.
I’m really going to miss this place!
My partner and I have been living here almost a year and we love it. Beautiful historic building that feels so special to be inhabiting. Our property manager Andi is probably one of the best property managers I’ve ever dealt with and I’ve done a lot of moving around over the years. She is beyond sweet, she responds quickly and is so helpful. She also decorated the building for Christmas and did a little hot chocolate station in the building for the residents to enjoy. How special is that!?
You couldn’t ask for a better apartment manager than Andi O’Briant. She’s incredibly responsive, detailed in keeping tenets up to date on services within the building, changes with the online portal, and just a good person to communicate with for any needs. Thank you Andi!!!
I am a long time resident and very happy living here. I especially appreciate our new manager, Andi. She is an on-site, hands-on manager and looks out for us tenants. As an example, on a recent Saturday morning, my fridge died and Andi got me a new one and took away the old one, all before noon. Also, as a first at the Palomar, she christmas-decorated the building lobby, atrium and even the elevator. We are fortunate to have such good care !
The Palomar is an incredible building to live in, it’s such a well maintained historic property (Charles Lindbergh, pilot of the Spirit of St. Louis, lived in this apartment building – Lindbergh was the first to fly a nonstop solo transatlantic flight between two major city hubs). The building is like no other apartment I have ever seen or lived in, it is wonderfully unique, beautiful, and is in an amazing location (just a quick walk over the bridge and you are in Balboa Park), plus it has a rooftop common area that has a great view and is open to all the residents. I love both living here and being the property manager of this San Diego treasure.
