  1. There are not enough stars for The Lodge! This is hands down the BEST hotel I have ever stayed at. My husband and I spent a few nights here for our honeymoon, and we never wanted to leave. The location is breathtaking – right on the Gulf State Park. We found that a lot of the Alabama beaches were overcrowded, dirty, and extreme partying destinations. But being on the state park, this hotel’s beaches are clean, environmentally friendly, and family friendly. I am so picky when it comes to cleanliness, and let me just say, this place blew my mind. Even just walking in, you can smell how clean and fresh everything is in the lobby. Not to mention, the breakfasts, pools, entertainment, and staff are out of this world. I never met a single staff member that was not extremely respectful, pleasant, and helpful. Even dealing with customer service is timely and responsive. I hope to go back someday!

  2. THIS PLACE! I was so NOT excited about the weeks long work travel I had ahead of me which included a trip to AL. THIS PLACE. Is. AMAZING! I cant say enough about the staff- SHOUT OUT to Paul, LARRY( my favorite), and all the front desk team. I had some issues with my room but this place and the people made it better. It made me being “forced” to be in AL again great! We are already planning our next work event here next year. If you find yourself in Gulf Shores you have to stay here! NOTE: If you are on a nice/quiet/ romantic trip this may not be the place- kids EVERYWHERE, no escaping them but work, nice weekend getaway, family trips, etc… GO HERE!
Ask for Paul to give you the best historical background of this place the property and everything there is to offer here!

  3. Booked to attend a convention, held on premises. Good location with direct beach access. Self parking or valet parking available. Per night room charge is „up there“, you want to book early to benefit from lower pricing. Offers everything you would need or want, coffee shop, ice cream parlor, 1 outside, 2 inside restaurants, a small store for incidentals, a bit of a larger store for all things beach. Although a quite larger property, easy to navigate. Service all around great, starting from check-in. Deduction in the room rating due to dirty filter in AC, which I would expect to get maintained and a carpet which was stained beyond what I would call acceptable. Comfortable beds, large bathroom with good size shower and higher quality amenities, appreciated and a welcome change to the standard offered in other properties. Small desk space for a business traveler. The complimentary WiFi works great, no complaints. Overall enjoyable stay and lodging experience in a nice Hilton brand property.

  4. Our stay at this hotel was amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, the rooms were top notch and comfortable, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable experience. Five stars review all the way from the location, convenience, front beach property, and one of our favorite, the food at all the onsite restaurants. The Food Craft in particular is out of this world. Will definitely come back next year.

  5. 5 stars for the beach and beach access-absolutely lovely, relaxing way to spend the day. Access from parking to hotel is 1 star so plan for 30 minutes especially if your room is in the eastern building (keep in mind this design is to rightly protect the dunes, yet it’s a shame there is no parking area on the east side). Staff extremely helpful, attentive, and friendly. 4 stars for food quality for both the hearty breakfast buffet and tasty dinner. Recommend booking online and Hilton members should prepay for breakfast buffet and self-parking. We stayed here taking a break from van camping anticipating torrential storms one evening and the building structure definitely made me feel safe.
