I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Home Depot on Hillsdale, especially with the store manager Nick and return agent Sonya. After spending hundreds of dollars on items for a painting project, I attempted to return leftover items with receipts provided by my contractor. Unfortunately, one of the items, a sub-$80 primer, did not show up in their system.
Despite being a loyal customer who has spent thousands of dollars at this store over the years, both Sonya and Nick showed no willingness to assist. Their refusal to process the return, despite my other valid receipts for hundreds of dollars, was incredibly frustrating. Their rigid and unhelpful approach has left a very negative impression on me. This experience has seriously made me reconsider where I will be shopping for my home improvement needs in the future.
If you value good customer service and appreciation for loyalty, I suggest taking your business elsewhere.

Horrible service. Asked 4 workers to help me open the door for a measuring tape. The door required a code to the lockbox, but no key. Three workers said that they would help, but continued to walk past us without any Assistance or explanation. I’m not sure why we weren’t able to receive proper service even though other people were. Please don’t shop here unless you don’t want to be acknowledged.
Pedro at the flooring department at the Hillsdale store was very helpful. He helped us looked for the tiles and loaded 16 boxes of tiles onto the cart. Then another nice associate helped us load them into our SUV. Very nice service at this HD location.
Half hour wait time calling in, getting the run around for another half an hour when I decided to come in anyway just to help load some railway ties.
I had to come here for these items since they’re only stocked here. But wow. I would think twice before coming back.
