  1. My experience at The Chadwick Apartments has been extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, I faced serious issues that were never properly addressed. The most concerning problem has been the **ongoing roach infestation** that has persisted for over three years, as documented in numerous reviews. The management failed to disclose this critical issue when I signed the lease, which is a violation of California law.

Despite raising concerns multiple times, their **pest control efforts have been ineffective**, and the problem continues. They insist on using pesticide treatments that involve spraying harmful chemicals, even though I have repeatedly expressed health concerns and requested safer alternatives. Their lack of transparency and disregard for tenant well-being is completely unacceptable.

Additionally, the **common areas are often unsanitary**, and despite management’s claims, the trash rooms remain poorly maintained. There have also been **safety concerns**, including theft, with little to no improvement in security measures.

Even after I surrendered possession of the unit following a three-day notice to pay rent or quit, management has **continued to charge me rent** despite my compliance with their notice and timely move-out. This is not only frustrating but also legally questionable under California Civil Code.

Paying over $2,100 in rent for a unit that fails to meet basic habitability standards, combined with the lack of accountability from management, has been a deeply disappointing experience. I would not recommend The Chadwick Apartments to anyone looking for a safe, clean, and properly managed living environment.

  2. I live near the pool are here’s a picture of people swimming at 3am in the morning. The apartment has policy that the pool area is closed after 10pm but the residents doesn’t seem to care…. I regret every decision moving to this apartment feels like living in the ghetto where you don’t feel secure and there is no 24 hours security to begin with to handle control these people. Yes, the apartment price is very competitive but I would rather pay little more for safety and convenience… what you read on the review is real do not come to this apartment you’ll regret it

  3. DO NOT MOVE HERE. PLEASE LISTEN TO ME DO NOT MOVE HERE.

I have lived here for a year and had about 2 good months MAYBE. Everything is broken from the gate to the parking lot, the washing machine and dryers, the gym equipment and “secure” mail room. I have had laundry stolen, packages stolen, guest parking in my paid spot and all of this with no extra repercussion. Management does not care about their tenants all they want is their rent. This is a bottom of the barrel apartment complex which is why is is cheap for LA standards buy trust me you get what you pay for. The amenities are just to pull you in; the weight room sucks and is always something broken, tenants don’t pick up their dog poop in the soccer/turf area, the pool is rarely blue more of a green-ish color, the grills are dirty from parties and nothing is done about it. There is a homeless encampment that takes up half of the street that no one does anything about and growing very rapidly. Bugs and insects are all the the halls and creep their way inside of the apartments no matter how good or clean you are. The community manager is NEVER available at all and does not answer emails and has no personal line it just takes you to the leasing office. This is my first apartment and I wish I never ever would have found this place it makes living in dorms look like the Ritz- Carlton. I cannot stress enough do not move here unless you are happy losing your values and sanity there are better options all over and wish someone would have warned me.

  4. Great location, TERRIBLE management. As a current tenant, I feel compelled to share my experience. For the past seven months, my mailbox has been unavailable due to damage that occurred before my move-in. Despite assurances that this issue would be promptly resolved, it remains unaddressed. This has resulted in my roommate’s and my mail being exposed and unprotected, which, according to the United States Postal Service regulations that require that landlords provide secure mail receptacles for tenants’ use to prevent mail theft, is a felony under 18 U.S.C. § 1708. We have experienced over $1,000 in stolen property.

Additionally, the so-called “secure mailroom” is frequently littered with opened and empty boxes, indicative of ongoing theft. The pest control situation is similarly troubling. Despite promises to address a roach infestation, the problem persists, with roaches being a daily sight.

I seldom write reviews, but I believe it is important to share the challenges I’ve faced here. I am eagerly anticipating the end of my lease and the opportunity to move elsewhere.

  5. The worst place I have ever stayed in my life, the toilet gets clogged every two days and maintenance never comes, my toilet was clogged for a week and I had to go outside and fix it. The leasing office employees never care about anyone and always do their job half-assed. The last time the toilet burst and my house was flooded with water. My wife is pregnant and very stressed and I gave a notice to get rid of this site but no one cares. I could not stand it anymore and left and rented a house somewhere else and they say I have a lease break and I have to pay 2 months rent as a penalty. Someone is usually stealing your packages and security just sleeping on the couch and nobody cares about your stuff. If you do not want your psychology to be damaged, never rent a house from here.
