  1. I don’t even know where to begin, I am a previous tenant, I moved out of this building back in January and all I have to say is Iqra in the leasing office is incredibly rude and disrespectful. The way she talks to residents (she’s very rude to other tenants not only me) is just unprofessional and completely unnecessary. She really needs to get fired!
Everyone else in the office is super sweet and polite, so I’m not sure why they continue to employ anyone like this.
    About the building:
The building used to be incredibly well maintained, but unfortunately other residents leave dog poop in the hallways and garbage all over the place.
Joseph is amazing and so sweet.
The apartments itself are not big, but are very modern, the building could really use better management and making sure they hire professional and respectful employees.

They also only have 7 guest parking spaces that residents use as their own parking, if they weren’t so money hungry, they should use the equinox parking as an extension of the guest parking. As 7 spots for a building with over 300+ units is insane. Not to mention the garage call box is always broken and the lobby elevator never is in service.

Overall I am sad to say the building for the price you’re paying is just not worth it.
For the rent price I’d go over to a true luxury building with full service and the environment to match!

  2. After my self-guided tour, what I can say is that the units themselves are very beautiful and well designed with modern style and stainless-steel appliances. The residents’ lounge was very nice and seemed like a great place to relax and/or get work done. The pool was also a really cool feature with its big screen poolside television attached! I could definitely see some awesome NFL pool day Sundays happening out there.

The lobby and indoor amenity spaces give off a bit of a masculine vibe, considering the dim lighting and masculine-ish fragrance pumped in. I personally would like it better without it, but others might appreciate it.

Although the units are great and amenities are nice, I could never see myself staying here simply based on what to me felt like absolutely disgusting hallways. The green/grey hallway carpets had stains everywhere and could use so much more cleaning and attention than they are getting. I feel like an excellent property manager would have had those torn out a long time ago.

In addition to the carpets, the hallways smelled like such THICK Heavy smoke and stale marijuana. It felt like there was absolutely no sort of air filtration, circulation, or something to help clear the reeking odor out of the halls.

Also, I know it is not always the fault of the apartment that some individual dog owner left a PILE of dog poop in the stairwell, but that was such a disgusting sight to see on my tour here and really sealed the deal for me.

Not only that, but according to the reviews online, the elevators are always broken down, and when I went to tour, that was certainly the case. The main elevators were broken, so rather than get lost trying to find the other elevators, we took the nearest stairs up to tour the 6th and 5th floor units and that definitely was quite the hike.

I couldn’t imagine paying my hard-earned money to live in a place that does not prioritize taking care of such an important piece of equipment as the main elevators of the building, and allows such yucky conditions in the everyday paths of residents.

This apartment really has great potential, and I hope that the property manager takes care of these issues so that it can reach the full potential it has.

If you’re looking for another nice apartment nearby for similar price, try the Wallace on Sunset. I toured there right after and it felt so much cleaner.

  3. This building gets their stars by asking happy tenants who *just* moved in to write reviews. If you want to feel like you’re living in a dorm with the fire alarm pulled at 3am then maybe this is the place for you. I’ve lived here for 3 years and maybe the fire alarms would be worth it if the amenities worked. The leasing office is horrible to work with and retaliate against you when you voice community concerns. In the three years I’ve lived here the hot tub (which is a beautiful selling feature!) has worked for maybe half of the time. I live above the outdoor kitchen and there are TVs and a fire pit down there that have never worked since I moved in, and only recently was I told that they will never work unless it is ripped up entirely. I’ve had my car towed twice from the parking garage – admittedly the first time was my fault for parking in the guest area, but after that they had my information and still towed me despite knowing my vehicle and financial hardship. There is constant crime, I’ve voiced concern about neighbors and been shushed by the leasing office. These people only pretend to care about you until they get your money.

  4. Avoid at all costs. This apartment complex is in a horrible area, completely unsafe, and management is an absolute nightmare. They claim to be a smoke free facility but the entire complex smells like marijuana and garbage. We ended up breaking our lease under specific terms provided to us due to the poor conditions of the complex. We paid the prorated amount along with additional fees for canceling our lease. 2 years later we received a collection notice for a balance we were never made aware of in the first place. We spoke with Maya, Virginia, and Sam to figure out how we were randomly made responsible for this balance and all 3 of them gave us different answers. After reviewing the documentation of our lease termination, we found that the previous leasing representative failed to include specific terms of the termination that we agreed upon. I, however, included mention of our conversation and these additional terms via email – unfortunately, this was insufficient for Sam and the previous rep no longer worked with the company. They were entirely disorganized, confused, and inconsistent. Extremely dissatisfied.

  5. I love this apartment for the most part. It’s the nicest place I’ve lived in for sure. With that being said… I have not had these many horrible neighbors that are unruly and spoiled. The office does not do a great job of keeping things under control.

And when you complain about something like noise… they say they’re going to fix it hoping you’ll just give up and not bother them anymore. I’ve had to do my own investigating and talking to multiple neighbors to find out that they already knew who the person is making noise and they’re just not doing anything about while multiple neighbors around are going insane listening to this noise.

I see other complaints about dog urine and feces in the hallways and other parts of the building not being address.

Basically, it’s expensive to live in these apartments. I’ve lived in worse but for these prices and the standard they say they uphold.. you would think they would actually uphold that standard.

Lastly I’ll say that some of the staff in the leasing office are great and nice people. There are a few that will ignore you after you’ve signed the lease. I remember sending a professional e-mail about my frustrations with some things that weren’t explained clearly and that person just ignored me completely after not communicating things clearly with me or the other staff.

So basically… they just want your money but once they get you hooked and living here they drop the ball for the most part. Which doesn’t make sense as a business because you’re losing people nonstop. I see a lot of unhappy people living here telling me they’re moving as soon as possible.

    I suggest looking elsewhere.
