  1. We really enjoyed our cabin and the park! We stayed in woodside cabin #25 and really enjoyed it! It was very clean and comfortable! The whole campsite area was very well maintained. We had a little charcoal pit and fit pit area with 4 chairs outside the cabin. The screened-in front porch was VERY nice as well. The kitchen was well-stocked with the essentials. The towels and bedding, including pillows, were very good quality.
The whole state park is pretty amazing as well. The park is very nice and clean, the trials are all in great shape. You can tell they take pride in keeping this park nice. While, we didn’t get a chance to try any of the on-site restaurants, it’s nice that there are options! One restaurant was actually in walking distance to our cabin.
We also really appreciated the fact that with the rental of a cabin, we had access to free beach parking, the campground amenities like the pool, nature center, etc. and free access to the pier. The front office staff was super helpful and informative.
The campground amenities were great as well. There is a massive pool and even at peak time, we had no issues finding chairs. The splash pad is massive as well! Again, everything was clean and in great condition! There is also a cool nature center that my son really enjoyed with snakes, baby alligators, owls, etc. It was great on one of our rainy mornings. There is also a big pavilion with a pier where the laundry mat is located as well as a really nice convenience shop! This came in handy since we forgot water to keep at our cabin.
The beach was super clean and much less crowded than hotel area beaches.
Honestly, I can’t think of any negatives about our stay! We had a GREAT time and will definitely be back!

  2. We LOVED this park and cabin. It was clean, well stocked, comfortable, and had great views! The whole park was pretty amazing. We loved the on-site restaurants, access to the beach and pool, and fishing docks.
I was completely blown away by this cabin. We are campers, and frequent state parks. This was more like a resort home inside a state park. The whole area was beautiful, well maintained, and honestly just so nice.
We were also surprised to see that the bunk area had a full door and storage, which practically made it a 3rd bedroom.
The bathrooms and bedrooms were all super comfortable and spacious.
There were plenty of towels and linens, all good quality too!
The front office staff was super helpful and informative.
The campground pool was very big and even at peak time, we were able to find chairs for 3.
The beach was super clean and much less crowded than the hotel area beaches.
I honestly can’t think of one negative thing to say. We will be back!

  3. We stayed in cabin #20. It was very nice and clean. We had a wonderful stay. We were just a little disappointed that we were across the road from the lake. When it said lakeside cabins, we thought we would be on the lake. It worked out because we did have a beautiful view of the lake from the porch. I would suggest that some grab bars be installed in the showers. For a senior it is nice to have something to hold on to as well as a shelf to put soap, shampoo etc. on. All in all, it was wonderful and we would definitely come again.

  4. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Cabin #19 with our three grandchildren. Great location with easy access to the beach and all the fun activities in gulf Shores. The Cabin worked perfectly with it’s bunk room for the boys 13 and 12 and our granddaughter, 8, enjoyed her own bedroom. We fished every day off the pier that was in easy walking distance and boy were the fish biting. Beats the heck out of the usual condo rat race at the beach. Great relaxing time was had by all.

  5. We loved our stay at Eagle Cottages. They are very accommodating and affordable with free breakfast every morning included. Bikes for the entire family to ride. Plenty of space and gorgeous views to enjoy. 8 minute drive to the beach or pool. The pool was located at the campground area which was very packed at the time so we only went once and enjoyed the beach the rest of the trip. We will be coming back for sure!
