One of my top recommendations for new moms is to have lactation consultant support lined up as soon as you come home from the hospital. I was able to schedule online with Carly in the middle of the night and she was at my house a day later for an appointment with me and my newborn when he was 5 days old. Breastfeeding is not something you can wait a week or even a day to figure out how to do better, once baby arrives you’ll be doing it again in an hour and you’re tired and you’ll want help. It’s hard at first but it gets so much easier, and with the right support that happens so much quicker.
Carly’s support has been invaluable for my breastfeeding and baby journey. She offers a generous military discount and gives superbills for reimbursement from Tricare. She also hosts a weekly support group for anyone feeding babies with the opportunity for weighted feeds, feeding help, connection with other new parents, and introductions to local birth and postpartum professionals.
Tanecia also offers babywearing sessions to try out different carriers and teach lots of tips and tricks to make it comfy for both mom and baby.

Had the pleasure of working with Carly for a few months. From our first appointment Carly has been super helpful with lactation, and answering all my questions. She definitely is an expert on everything baby feeding, and milk production. Lucky to have Carly over weekly in the beginning, to help with everything, especially being a new mom; she has made our sessions much enjoyable with baby. Tanecia provided wonderful support via several home visits and follow-up Q&A. Her warmth, positivity, and common-sense guidance were invaluable to me while figuring out some frustrating pumping issues and wrapping my head around back-to-work. She was even able to help me locate a FREE loaner pump and personally dropped it off at our house. You can tell Tanecia really cares about her clients and their breastfeeding success. Would recommend her to anyone looking for lactation problem-solving or just encouragement from someone who cares, has tremendous clinical knowledge, and has been there herself.
Carly helped me with my 4th and last baby. My baby girl had several oral ties that were revised and I was desperate for help to get her to latch. Being a IBCLC myself, I wanted someone I could trust. I had heard numerous wonderful things about Carly and believed she would lead me in the right direction. I’m so glad she skillfully guided me through a very difficult first few weeks postpartum. My baby refused to latch and we had to work on building blocks to get her back to the breast. It took almost everything in me, but I was extremely thankful to have a coach to look to. I’m happy to report my baby just turned a year, and she is happily breastfeeding as well as taking pumped milk when I’m away. All that work was worth it!
