Good supermarket, fruits and vegetables are fresh and nicely presented. We like the bakery goods and spicy wings. Aisles are getting cleared of things which is great, and lines on the floor to mark social distancing areas. The shop seemed empty in the pictures but there was always lines at the register, not sure why they had to wait until there’s 6-7 deep in the queue before they called for extra help.
I went to the Hot Foods section to pick up myself a dinner for the night. I just wanted 2 pieces of Fried Chicken and fried chicken fries, to go.
The male worker behind the counter was very rude to me after he gave me my food.
Stay far away. I was going about my business when I noticed solicitors scamming people (saying its for a school’s soccer match then saying its to raise money for some illness). I was physically assaulted by them after confronting them, I alerted management but they basically ignored it and did nothing about the issue that happened on the store’s private property. I chose not to press charges because I’m a good person but I will never go here again.
This store has increased their prices insanely like they jumped on the democrat bandwagon (rip you off so they can line their pockets.) Example: 20 lb bag of rice here is $12 more than that exact same bag of rice at Walmart. Super A charges $32 whereas Walmart charges $19.95 for that 20 lb bag of basmati rice. These extreme price increases are easily noticeable throughout every single product in their store. Boycott Super A.
Super A Foods is a Hispanic flavored supermarket on Rosemead Blvd, in San Gabriel. I love that it’s close to home and always very well stocked; along with the daily fresh cooked food, baked goods and tortillas to go👌👍‼
