Just off HWY 280 in Alexander City, this was a good choice for us on our recent trip to Auburn, Alabama for the football game. Good location, room was good for what we needed, although we did book it last minute and they put us up in a smokers’ room and you could definitely smell it. All in all, good place to stay for a short trip.
I used to stay here years ago when it was called the Jameson Inn, it was an excellent Motel at that time. So I thought I’d stop by and try it again now that it’s Super 8. I was not disappointed, rooms were very clean, bathrooms were clean, close by to places to eat, front desk lady was absolutely amazing. service was fantastic, breakfast buffet really delicious. For a Super 8 the price was a little higher than I would have liked $90 a night, but the room was perfect. Come through here quite a bit, will definitely stop and stay here again. Decent place, clean room, clean sheets and clean bathroom. The free breakfast was okay. Only complaint is that people were still in the swimming pool, which was just outside our room, and they were loud and making lots of noise at 10:45pm. The pool hours showed the pool to close at 10:00 pm. I called the front desk at 10:50 pm and asked when does the pool close, they said 10:00 pm. I said there are still people in the pool and she said they were sending someone now to clear the pool, which they finally did. There were also people sitting in lawn chairs outside our room. They moved when the pool emptied. I’d stay here again but ask that the pool close when it should.
Bugs!!! $104 just to get bitten by bugs and have to squash roaches running around. I couldn’t sleep because I kept getting bit. That ruins everything. There are pesticide companies out there.. Also too many Marijuana smokers who smoke and cough loudly all night. Terrible night at this place
It is very hard to find a decent place that allows smoking. I was very impressed with the Super 8. Very clean. Great staff!
