Staff has great personality they did a Great job, great service on my truck and a relaxed time at the waiting area waiting for my vehicle. Snacks and drinks were available and screen content on vehicle status. Loved it. Customer for life, will be bringing my family here
Went in for an appointment. Had to wait 30 minutes just to be seen. Several others got scheduled at the same time. Before over phone appointment, I specifically asked and expressed concerns about a transmission fluid replacement and cost. I was quoted between 160 to $180. When I got there for my appointment and waited 30 minutes. I was told that it would be $333. Nothing extra. They just said that it was a tentative quote. I have got it done at other places with the same service for just over $200. I wish they would have told me that. So I would not have taken off from work and scheduled an appointment to not even get my car serviced.
This review is months overdue, I apologize, but it finally popped in my head at the right time. Stress-Free Auto Care has made our car maintenance and care so seamless and stress-free just like their name promises. The first few months living in Sacramento it seemed like there was one thing after another with our car, and went to SFAO because it was only a few minutes away. After our first experience, we learned proximity was the least of the reasons we looked forward to going back (aside from the part about being down one car when that would happen). Their communication is impeccable, you really get a sense that they care for your concerns, hear you entirely and are looking out in your best interest. You know how I also know they look out for us? We were misquoted once, and they realized it only after the work was done. Now, of course any business would have to honor what was quoted – but not every business would take ownership or accountability for the mistake. In similar situations, I’ve left feeling like it was my fault for their mistake. In this scenario, I felt respected. They also move through the day very quickly and efficiently, it seems. We’ve usually had our care back before we expected it to be ready!
All in all, I have to say that this crew deserves a 5 star rating every day – I’m sure you guys won’t be disappointed with your experience there.
We had 1 good experience here and 1 bad. But it’s obviously the bad one that lead to this 1 star review. My partner and I went to this new stress free auto care because there was a coupon sent to us in the mail. We both went in both got the deal. It was great. It did take them awhile to check us in. I don’t mind waiting but it was like a half an hour. I get it, it’s annoying but not their fault. The second time we went back after my partners AC started cutting out on longer drives. And since it’s 100+ plus here it was something we wanted to address for the right price. These guys seemed good they take picture of everything so you feel like you can trust them right? Well when my partner went back for the diagnostic they told her that her compressor was going out and that there was a cracked valve. Quoted us $900 ish. I just don’t like spending that kind of money unless I’m sure and I have a family shop so we took it there and Bruce told us there’s no way the compressor was out. It needed to be recharged and filled with freon and it had cracked valve. Cost us 380. So either they don’t know what they’re doing. Or they’re trying to scam people. They think because they take pictures that you can trust them. Such a scam. There are a lot of factors that go into a failure like this. Lots of balls to be dropped for things like this to happen and I truly believe in being honest about what you’re doing. I work in retail management and what we sell or do affects people around us and being a person that tries to give people peace of mind. It’s just frustrating that there aren’t many places like that when it comes to the whole industry I don’t know why I ever go anywhere else besides Otis Automotive in old fair oaks. Hands down the most ethical and honest mechanic in town.
Edit I meant condenser not compressor. I also don’t appreciate them calling us. We have the right to our opinion and just because I’m not a mechanic and said compressor vs condenser.
Thank you for the expert technician who worked on my car. I personally thanked him myself as well. My Toyota feels great. I am also thankful for Alex and Andrew at the front desk. They are so knowledgeable and courteous. What a pleasure to deal with them all.
