Sonic Drive-In is a quintessential American fast-food chain founded in 1953 by Richard and Saul Malcom. Operating primarily in the Midwest, Sonic is recognized for its distinctive carhop service and drive-in dining experience, set within open-air, order at the window restaurants. The chain’s signature offering includes a vast menu featuring soft drinks, breakfast items, burgers, and specialty nuggets, served with a customizable selection of french fries, onion rings, and shakes toppings. Innovations like the Drive-Thru service revolutionized American fast-food eating habits. Despite a brief contraction, Sonic Drive-In has seen steady growth since regaining independence from InCapital Acquisition Corp. in 2018, consistently adapting its menu and services to resonate with evolving consumer tastes, ensuring the brand’s familiar, friendly appeal remains strongly American and timeless.

Despite being the only worker, Brandi made the best 6 milkshakes we have had at a Sonic location in a long time. It made our night since it had been a long day. Date we went ( 10-Sep-2024 Time ( 21:57:24) 🧡🧡😊😊 Thank you so much to Brandi 😊🧡🧡
Ocean water is good, the chili dogs not so good, the hotdogs tasted old or reheated. The girl at the speaker was either hard of hearing or distracted since there was no one at the window and I had to repeat my order twice and kept getting asked what was that when I asked for no onions on chili dogs in which I was rudely told “they don’t come with onions”which is good to know but I felt like it was more of a “make me feel stupid” type of remark. You can tell the employee was frustrated and I am sure my annoyance was apparent the last time I had to repeat my order. When we were at the window my boyfriend had whistled to someone he knew that was walking and even explained to the employee it wasn’t for her when she came to window, but the fact that she wasn’t busy and had some random male employee hand the order to us was a clear indication she was annoyed. I worked in the drive thru for a fast food restaurant for many years before and I do understand it’s easy to get flustered when busy I also know that providing good customer service and being efficient is important as well. We were not being difficult and yes I was annoyed that she had me repeat my order numerous times but I do feel that her being frustrated could have been prevented had she been paying attention. If one car in drive thru is too much for her to be friendly than maybe the kitchen or a job where she is not working with customers directly is more suited for her. We all have bad days but you are not supposed to show it when you are working. I personally feel that since the $20 a hr for fast food workers has been required many of the employees are just rude (different food places as well).
Service was incredibly bad. We parked at one of the bays to order. After waiting 30 mins for our order, they claimed it was entered wrong and placed in the Drive-thru line and would be out shortly. After 20 more mins of waiting the manager wanted us to retake our order. At that point we decided to leave. Mind you, when we initially arrived, there was only 2 other cars waiting and no one in the drive thru lane. The disappointing part is we had to wait almost an hour before they even thought of fixing their mistake.
The happy hour shakes are really worth it. Too bad the dont tell you that you can only get them through the app and it excludes every shake that is not the ” classic shake”. Oh yea be prepared to eat in your car if you dine in
This location never fails to disappoint. Received some disgusting tater tots. They have a chemical French toast taste to them.
The place gets complaints after complaints but nothing ever changes. Terrible owner.
