The staff was friendly, and the check-in process was quick and effortless. That is the extent of the positives from our stay. The hotel was dirty, and not well maintained. The pool was âclosed for maintenanceâ but something tells me they put the sign up so they didnât have to deal with spending money to maintain the pool. The floors were sticky, the carpets were dirty and dark stained, definitely in need of a steam cleaning. The room had a thermostat that was left over from when it was actually attached to an AC unit. The towels and bedding were cheap and garbage. We stayed 4 nights and not once was our room cleaned, trash emptied, or towels / sheets changed out. The TV had glowing dots on the screen from the backlight, made it impossible to watch anything. The foam headboard/pillow thing was stained. Their was other guests hair still on the soap dispenser in the shower, there was mildue on the windows. The elevator didnât have a safety inspection posted. And the free breakfast was literally a loaf of bread in a warming pan. Spend your money some place where they actual care to earn or value your business.
Calling it a 3-star hotel is generous. This place has seen better days. Itâs a 2-star hotel at best now. I was told when I checked in that there was no breakfast and that the pool was out of order. Then I found out there was an out of order sign on almost everything â like the fitness room and the ice machines. There were also visible repairs needed â metal corner bead pulled out of place at the floor elevator lobby, very worn & stained carpet, and what looked like coffee stains on the wallpaper. There was no fridge in the room and the room furniture was chipped in several places. The person at the desk was helpful â she had a fridge sent up, but she couldnât make up for how run down things were. Not awful, but not good. As a woman traveling alone, I did not feel safe. My company booked and paid for the room so I didnât know the hotelâs condition and didnât have a choice. My room was clean enough and the air conditioning got cold, but I will not be back.
Man this hotel was weird. Ignoring the basics like the pool still being closed, and the breakfast being barebones store bought items (like loafs of bread, yogurt, and orange juice), the rooms were just ⊠weird and wet.
We entered our 3rd floor room and everything was noticeably damp. It smelled heavily like mold/stagnant water damage and the entire carpet was very wet. We requested a room change immediately and the new room, also on the 3rd floor, was just as wet but did not have the odor.
The TV barely worked, the beds were made up with different beddings, we killed a roach within 20min of entering, we never got our room cleaned a single time despite never putting in the do not disturb sign (our room didnât even have one), and passing the cleaning crew every morning for 3 days in a row seemingly cleaning all the other rooms on the floor.
Our first room seemed like it had brand new furniture: the wall AC unit still had plastic wrapping on it, same with the mini fridge which was not even plugged in. The room we transferred to just down the hall had much older and worse furniture, and the mini fridge was plugged in and running (the back was very hot) but it was not functional at all (never got cold at all no matter what setting or outlet we tried).
If someone had told me that the week prior the fire sprinklers had gone off and they were just letting it all air dry, I would have fully believed it; that is how wet everything felt. I spoke with several other patrons in the elevator and everyone talked about how wet everything was. This seems like a very serious issue, given the smells we encountered.
The parking lot was also about 80% full of shipping containers dropped seemingly randomly across tons of spaces.
I have stayed in some horrible hotels before, but they were cheap. For hundreds of dollars this hotel is a total sham. Avoid it.
Blood stains on our sheets and furniture, room was extremely humid and had a bad smell, walls damaged and shoe marks on the walls all down the hallway, pool out of order. The list goes on. This place is definitely not a 3 star and I would never recommend staying here.
I have stayed at Sonesta in San Fran and had great experience it was Affordable and clean. This location is poorly managed like a slum lord. Red flags. TV wouldnât work, the staff could not fix, no soap in dispenser, within the first 2 hours we saw roaches. And enough that made me pack up and leave. I have never had to do this anywhere. The price of 147 as nightâŠ. youâre expect decent. No. They need to burn it down and start over. They refunded my money. after a long days drive all we needed was rest instead we had to find other accommodations
