  1. Extremely disappointed at the low quality this hotel offers for what you pay.
As soon as you enter the room you can tell there is dust, restrooms and doors are rusted, carpets are dirty and the rooms seem to have a weird smell. It was inconvenient my family and I had to change rooms because the restroom faucet was not working and the tub kept getting clogged. There are no microwaves inside the rooms. I complained to the front desk and all they offered was $75 for this inconvenience. Very disappointed for how expensive this place is and the very low quality that they provide. At least the staff is nice and willing to help.
The views are nice but honestly the rooms desperately need renovation. Not worth what you pay.

  2. As a frequent Marriott guest I was incredibly disappointed with this location. Due to renovations the vast majority of amenities were not available despite still charging a daily resort fee for services not rendered. I had to pay for gym access nearby due to the lack of the fitness center featured in their photos. The one fitness center room was worse than a roadside motel with broken machines & little to offer. I was here for a conference & tacked on some personal days. If I’d known in advance the issues they have I would have shifted to another hotel for the personal days. Almost all of the people from the conference I talked to about the hotel had similar views. Typical free services at other hotels aren’t offered here. Because of the renovations there were fewer elevators & the ones in service were slow & had lots of mechanical issues & some were breaking down. For awhile I was trapped with 6 other guests in one until we were finally able to get out but couldn’t get the elevator to go to the ground floor so we had to use the stairs & a family with 2 small children were having issues with the stairs for their small children. This is the 1st time I’ve posted a negative review of a Marriott after staying at well over 50 different ones to give some perspective to this review. The best thing I could comment on is the housekeeping staff we had were excellent. However, one day my wife, 2 other guests & myself got hit with unknown fluids as we exited the motel by staff cleaning a balcony above. Why they would be using water to clean off a balcony leads to unfavorable thoughts of what might have been in the fluids that hit us.

  3. Terrible Experience, I had an incredibly disappointing experience. I feel compelled to give this hotel a very poor rating for several reasons:

    – The room was far from clean. I found a cockroach in my room, and the closet was dirty inside. There was dust in several spots, rust in the bathroom, and the toilet seat was filthy.
    – The bathtub drain was clogged, which made it difficult to use.
    – This place is definitely not worth the price. The hotel is very old and rundown, and it desperately needs renovation.
    – The reception staff were generally unfriendly and made me feel unwelcome. They seemed constantly overwhelmed by the number of guests.

I’m writing this review to warn others about what they might encounter

  4. The Sunrise suite has the best views. The suite is old. It needs renovation. All the doors is hard to close. (Bathrooms, shower doors etc) But other than that, room service and front desk service are great. They are very nice and attentive. They also have a quick response when you need something sent to your room.

  5. I recently stayed at the Sheraton for a business trip and was extremely pleased with my experience. The lobby is clean and inviting with a great selection of food & beverage. The staff was friendly and personable upon check in. When arriving to my room, I was impressed with the overall cleanliness. Another big plus was the spectacular views of San Diego. If given the chance, I would definitely stay here again.
