UPDATE: Dr. Willner is great! Very informative and thorough. He does practice out of other offices (in Long Beach and Los Alamitos). Definitely see him in one of those offices instead.
ORIGINAL: The front office is absolutely terrible. When making my appointment on the phone, I always ask for new patient forms right away because I have a lot of information to fill out and I don’t want to waste time in the office filling it out on a clipboard. First, they gave me the wrong website. How do you not know the website of your place of work if that’s where the patient forms are? Then they lost my patients forms. I had to fill out all that information AGAIN by hand. Then they misplaced my ID and insurance that they had just taken to make a copy of. All the girls up front just looked at me like lost sheep. One patient came in after me and they couldn’t find his prior auth, which was faxed to them. They asked the patient for it instead of looking for it in the chart. Another patient had her hands full and was pushing a stroller with a special needs child. Not a single one of them lifted a finger or offered help while standing next to the door she had to go through. My sister who was with me and another patient had to help her. I would be embarrassed to be so incompetent and oblivious. If you need an ENT specialist, look elsewhere. I haven’t even seen the doctor yet, but no matter how good they are, it’s not worth dealing with the utter mess up front.
Customer service not good. Called to set appointment. Lady answered the phone and didn’t ask my name or state the company name. Then put me on hold for 10 minutes. Weird on hold message wanted to tell me about the Covid Pandemic we were currently in and what to do. Can have some accompany me to their office complex because of the Covid rules. What?!! After hearing about that for 10 minutes, it just hung up on me.
Obviously they are not on top of their customer service game or phone system. …And usually how you do anything as how you do everything so going somewhere else
My wife has several issues that the SCENT doctors and staff addressed to our complete satisfaction. They took the time to fully analyze my wife’s symptoms, then put in a rush referral request to our medical group for authorization to do an immediate on site diagnostic test that gave us all the information that was needed for a proper treatment path. Kudos to all!
Dr. Nina Yoshpe is amazing. She is very thorough and explains everything in detail. She is the one you want for your allergy solutions. The office staff at SCENT are friendly and make sure your check in process is easy and seamless. I would recommend SCENT to everyone!
I’ve been a patient with SCENT since 2013 and have been very happy with Dr Yoshpe and the rest of the staff. They’ve always been warm a friendly, taken good care of me, clarified my hearing problem, and helped me get Hearing Aides.
However, I’m currently frustrated because they still haven’t found a solution to a problem I’ve had, for which I’ve been seeking treatment from SCENT for two years now.
