I visited Sagar Ratna in Delhi with moderate expectations, and that’s exactly what I got – a decent South Indian meal. The dosa was crispy and flavorful, with a generous serving of sambar and chutney. The idli was soft and light, paired well with the accompanying coconut chutney.
The South Indian dishes on the menu were authentic and tasty, with a good balance of spices. However, the menu could benefit from a bit more variety.
The ambience and atmosphere were average – nothing remarkable, but not unpleasant either. The decor was simple, and the seating was comfortable enough.
Service was prompt and courteous, but not overly friendly.
Overall, Sagar Ratna is a good option if you’re craving South Indian food in Delhi, but don’t expect to be blown away by the experience. It’s a solid, middle-of-the-road choice.

Went there with a group of 8 people. We got to be seated right away as we had made a reservation. We were accommodated well as seniors in our group didn’t want AC. Service was brisk and food arrived quickly, hot and served correctly as per order.
Great job by staff.
Only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is that the onion masala dosa I ordered, even though I was made aware had raw onions, I felt had excessive onions and dominated the taste. Consequently the taste I was looking forward to absent.

Excellent service excellent food! A standing institution of South Indian food in Delhi. But this is the best sagar out of all the rest. Fresh tasty and delicious. Highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for South Indian cuisine. The issue is the market it self. Noisy and hardly any parking. But if you can find a spot none better! I had the masala dosa and vadas. Incredible!
Good place to treat your taste buds. A lot of options have come in the market but this place still has the taste and living up to its name. Service is also good as staff is courteous and pays complete attention. The only thing is that it becomes too noisy when full as all the tables are too close to each other.
