  1. Be careful if you get a membership here. It is extremely hard to cancel your membership it seems. I canceled my membership about 2 years ago due moving and going to day shift. Also due to them being in the process of moving across town. It has been about 2 years with no contact and I just received a hit on my credit report for a collections from Red X Fitness. Check my reviews, this is the first bad review I have ever published. They have found a loophole like most gym to make fraud and theft legal. I will forever say, STAY AWAY from Red X.

  2. So disappointed that this gym did not. I was super excited when it opened up in Madison off of County line Road . First off, letā€™s just talk about how small it is due to the amount of equipment even with their new expansion it is down right crowded and you can forget about trying to use any of the free weights. Thereā€™s always tons of people around or waiting. Numerous occasions when I went after hours there were teenagers that were not working out but rather using the equipment as seats. It got to the point to where I was so frustrated one night after waiting on one particular machine that I asked this person please move. Of course he was livid but moved to a different piece of equipment and continued on TikTok. Another issue that really bothered me is they do not clean around the gym equipment. Iā€™m OK with a little dust, but when someone walks on the treadmill in their work boots and leaves a pile of red clay dirt on the floor and it stays there a week thatā€™s a little much. Now letā€™s address the unfriendly sometimes rude staff. There is one gentleman there that I am not going to describe because anyone that goes there will know exactly who Iā€™m talking about, but he should not even be working in the gym. He considers himself a trainer and I heard him talking to this lady for 20 minutes one night telling her everything that was wrong with her and why she could not lose weight because she could not push back away from the table. When I went to cancel my gym membership I walked in and this particular man was at the counter and he proceeded to ignore me. When I ask ā€œcan you help me ā€œ he rudely snapped no. Yes, you can imagine how bewildered I was as I stood there in this awkward silence. When he turned around and saw that I was still standing there he says ā€œlook I donā€™t work here. Iā€™m a trainerā€.

Please do better! I have worked out my whole life and itā€™s sad to know that there are people that come in that gym that may never have the courage and may never go back to a gym because of the way that they are treated.

  3. Unfortunately the new Red-X wonā€™t meet my needs. I joined Red-X on Hughes in 2018 and loved it. The large space with turf, multiple platforms, plyo boxes, etc. After I moved further away, I switched gyms for awhile, but then I heard about the move to County Line Rd which is very close to my house. It was a no brainer. I signed up as soon as they opened, but quickly found out that this isnā€™t the same Red-X I knew. The deadlift and squat areas are insanely crowded. You canā€™t load squat weights without tripping all over the deadlift platform. There is so much equipment jammed into one little corner you canā€™t use any of it safely. I have only been a handful of times this year because of this. I will be cancelling my membership once my year is up and finding a gym with room to breatheā€¦

I do have some ideas on how it could be laid out better if the owner / manager would like to meet up sometime to hear my opinions.
