  1. I usually stay here as my half way so between home and Destin, if was recently remodeled and was so so nice. However they seen to get lots of highway workers that stay for days or weeks . I think that has really worn the rooms out. I could see a big difference in our room from last year.. they are always so friendly here. I’ve seen better but I’ve seen allot worse

  2. The pictures def make the place look better than it really was.
The two at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. They helped us when we needed to get some things switched around.

However when we got to the room, the only thing that was clean was the bedsheets and a couple towels.
It reeked of stale cigarette smoke for a “non smoking room” … and the smell of fresh smoke came very strong every morning.
Most of the towels were stained, the bath mat didn’t look like it was switched after the prior guests.
If they cleaned the floors, they just pushed everything into the corners. We found cigarette ashes on the baseboards. Didn’t clean the mirrors, half the lightbulbs were out or missing.
It just was not a good hotel for the price we had to pay.
I wish other hotels in the area showed up at booking and saved us the hassle. It was gross.
It’s very run down, and the repairs they have tried to make are half-a**ed. Bathroom exhaust fan hanging out of the wall, shower rod must’ve fallen down at some point and they patched old holes but didn’t bother repainting. The tub was chipped and stained.
I would only recommend this hotel if you are desperate.
There are a ton of other nicer hotels in the area I wish we would’ve known about before planning our trip.

  3. Food in refrigerator, refrigerator is lukewarm, remote doesn’t work, and is missing battery door. I have epilepsy and needed to stop driving for the day so we stayed here. Guy told me my service dog is a pet and my military ID isn’t a valid ID. Called the front desk to ask about the room and never got an answer after check in. $68 room, turned out to be $84 which turned out to be $99

  4. We found this hotel last night after a harrowing trip on icy roads. The clerk was friendly, offered different discounts and had rooms available at a reasonable rate. Room was clean and nicely decorated. We did not hear traffic noise.
The only drawback point, ceiling over shower had a peeling spot from the room above leaking and I would suggest adding a comfort height toilet.
Otherwise, we were very happy with the room and the service.

  5. I went to this Red roof against my instincts. It was 3:00 in the morning and I only wanted four 5 hours sleep so I was willing to make a sacrifice. I had prompt and effective service. The room was great. The amenities provided were in line with the price point and I appreciated that experience. It was clean, everything worked and I was actually surprised at the shower fixture. It was like something you would expect in at luxury hotel.
