I recently visited the grocery store on East Palomar in Chula Vista, San Diego, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly “hello” from the staff. The employees here are genuinely some of the most courteous and helpful people I’ve encountered in a grocery store. Whether you’re looking for a specific item or need assistance with your groceries, they are always ready and willing to help, making the shopping experience both pleasant and efficient. The shelves are impeccably stocked, showcasing a wide variety of products that cater to all tastes and dietary needs. From fresh produce to organic options, and from everyday essentials to gourmet items, this store has it all. It’s clear that the management takes great care in ensuring that the inventory is both diverse and abundant, minimizing the chances of not finding what you need. The organization of the store also deserves praise; everything is easy to find, thanks to well-labeled aisles and a logical layout. Cleanliness is another area where this grocery store truly shines. Every corner of the store is spotless, from the gleaming floors to the tidy shelves. I called to ask is the DMV Kiosk accepted cash and the young man proceeded to say that and I quote “I think so”. I kindly asked if it where possible he could check the kiosk since I was doing a cash payment. Then with all certainty he informs that is does accept cash. So here I am a few minutes later with my baby trying to use the kiosk only to find out it does not accepted cash.
I don’t usually shop at this store even tough it’s one block away from my home because I always find better prices at walmart, but yesterday I was in need of a few fruits and vegetables and decided to go here because I was passing by. I regretted it not only because of the prices, but the cashier made a mistake in one of the items, so i was charged a little more than what It should have been. No biggie, I thought. I went to customer service where, I believe was the manager, was on the floor trying to fix something. I said hello, and he responded with an annoyed tone; One moment, I said sure, no problem. After a few minutes, he gets up and I explain my “problem”, he says I would have to get in line again and ask the cashier for the correction. I kept my cool and went in line with 2 people in front of me, It was about to be my turn when he comes out of costumer service and calls me to move to the other line so he could help, at this point I didn’t even want to move bacause It was already my turn. I tried to ignore him but he called on me again directing me to move to the next register, I moved and then he asked me what the issue was, I proceed to explain to him again what happened, then he says where is the produce i need to weigh it. I didn’t have it since the weight was on the receipt, I figured he could get it from there. He then gets annoyed again and starts throwing stuff on the scale to get to the weight he needed. I appreciate the effort, but his attitude was the sad part. Needless to say it will be a long while for me to step into this store again. I feel strange to say that walmart has employees with better attitude 😳
Very clean store but had a bad experience with the lady at self checkout. I went on 04/14/2024 @ almost 8pm and got in what I thought was the line for self checkout. There were two lines and two white men paid before us and as soon as my husband and I go to pay, the cashier comes up to us to rudely tell us there is actually one line and then continued to call the next person in line and asked us to go to the back of the line. I’m not bothered that we were sent to the back of the line, I was bothered at how she told us with smart attitude. There was no apology for the confusion and it was odd that two white males could cut the line and pay but as soon as my husband and I walk up to pay we get told something.she tried to make us feel stupid and honestly I felt discriminated. I hope you teach her better customer service because my husband and I will not be going here anymore. We loved this Ralph’s until this bad experience. What a shame.
