If youāre looking for a cheap option while in Mobile this is the spot. I got the room $63 a night. Iām only here for business and just needed something quick for the night. If I was here for pleasure this would not be the spot. Room smells old but clean. The young lady at the front desk was super friendly and helpful when I asked for a good seafood spot. They have a pool and offer breakfast. But I ended up at Waffle House because the only hot option at the hotel was a waffle and toast. Ok so I had to come back after I looked in the shower found hair in the tub YUCK!!!
We travel a lot and Iāve seen a lot of good rooms and bad rooms but this place looks so good and I thought just maybe I would get a good room. After traveling for eight hours to confirm and make sure I had a room on the bottom floor because I had a lot of baggage to unload. It was myself my wife and grandson so I needed a decent place to stay. I get there send me to my room couldnāt hardly open the door because the door was jammed shut first off. I open the door to the smell of mold and filth I looked in the floor everywhere. I walked into the restroom just to look and see what it might look like, and there was black boot prints everywhere it was the sickest smell mold, paint pilling off of the walls. It was awful to say the least . The front desk said that they could not change my room. There was no linings on the bed. There is nothing ready about the room and she said she could not find me another room on the bottom floor. Her first words were, she could not change my room thatās when I wanted to flip out. Thereās no way on this godās earth I would ever allow my wife my grandchild or even my dog to lay in that floor or walk on that floor in that room. These people need a lot of help on the cleaning staff and management. thereās a lot of stuff wrong with this place. And to add to it, I never write a bad review unless it is bad. I have posted a few thousand pictures which I did not get a picture of this place because I wanted to get out of the room as soon as possible. With nearly 19,000,000 views I hope the word will get out about the quality in historic district downtown Mobile Alabama. The mold was so strong that thereās no way any room near or around that room can be safe from the mold in the air. I just wonder how many people has gotten sick from being at this place.
I was had a oversized load parked at the Oasis truck stop at the Alabama 53 mile marker. Itās trying to find a location that I could spend the night so we could take off the next day this was the closest location that had a reasonable price. The elevators are smelly the staff is great. Had to change rooms because the first room they put me in was flooded not sure Why. Second room was okay but it was also further from the elevator that worked. They have 3 or 4 elevators but only one works. Parking lot is very tight.
I recently stayed at quality Inn and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The bathroom in my room was filthy and not functioning properly. There was significant moisture and stains on the walls, which made the entire room feel damp and unclean. Additionally, there were many people smoking in the hallways, which was extremely unpleasant and made the hotel feel even more unwelcoming.
It might be the last option you have for accommodation, but if you have the chance to stay at other hotels, itās better to visit others for a bit more money. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
I have stayed here many times over the years and it was never the nicest hotel but over the last few years this place has been showing its age along with increasing evidence of deferred maintenance. During my most recent stay the entire hotel was looking rough while my room was just nasty looking throughout. The location is great but for the price they just donāt measure up anymore. For the current rough condition this place is in they shouldnāt be charging more than $25 a night! They are far overdue for gutting and redoing all the rooms and replacing all the worn out cheap furniture that is falling apart.
Overall the only positives are the location and the staff seems to be doing the best they can with the decomposing mess they have to deal with.
