This review is specific to the bakery. We ordered our wedding cake through Publix bakery in Chelsea, AL. When we saw the cake that was delivered, I literally cried it looked so horrible. I had provided photos of a simple 3 tier cake, with pastel peachy flowers we wanted it decorated with to the bakery manager. He stated they could do what we were looking for. The cake that was delivered looked like a teenager decorated it and the flowers were bright colors. I wish I had gotten a photo of it before my sister scraped off the bright flowers and replaced them with flowers from our decorations. My sisters saved our wedding cake by redecorating the cake. The cake tasted great, but the decorating by Publix was atrocious. I will not order any special occasion cake from here again. To top it off, I received a call from the bakery exactly 1 month prior to our wedding reception asking where it needed to be delivered and what time, all of which had been provided to the manager that took our order. They made the cake one month early… because of this, I called the day before our reception to ensure the cake would be ready to go. Not a good experience at all! The one photo my niece took was as my sister was scraping off the bad bright flowers.

We went to get a cookie cake for my girlfriend, filled out their product form, spelled correctly and confirmed her name with the bakery, and when we show up to get it we’re told they misspelled her birthday cake and “well it’s only off by one letter”. It’s a name, that is spelled out, and only 5 letters. When we ask if they’re going to fix it, we’re given a blank stare and told we can get $10 off but no remake. For Publix of all places this is a genuinely pathetic excuse for a bakery.
Cayden was very courteous and went the extra step to help make sure my glass bottles were extra protected in the bags! Great service!
Clean, organized. Well stocked. Never had any issues. Anytime a price is wrong they always give u that item free and fix the pricing to the correct amount on additional items.
Highly recommend this Publix! Most Publix’s don’t allow truck drivers to park to go inside & shop, but this location DOES!!! Very friendly workers!! Fresh food!! HIGHLY recommend!!! THANK YOU Publix!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
