Publix is the best place to go grocery shopping. I’m handicapped and having someone to help me with my groceries to the cart and taking the motorized shopping cart back so it’s not left outside in the summer so the seat is to hot to sit in and not left out in the rain so the seat is full of water. Some of the people open my driver’s door after they are done loading the groceries. You do not know how helpful me not having to load the groceries at the store because more times than not I can get all my groceries inside in stead of only getting the cold and frozen items in the house and put away. But getting all of it in the house even if I can’t put all of it away. It’s in the house and can put the rest of the groceries away when I can.
Normally, I would give 5 stars and that is the reason I do most of my grocery shopping at Publix. Up until today customer service has always been excellent. Today I arrived at Publix at 1:15 pm. I went expressly to pick up a rotisserie chicken. However, there were none. There was a female employee that I attempted to get her attention but she pretended to not see me. I was the only customer there. But I was patient and did ask one of the male employees could he tell me when the rotisserie chickens would be available. He immediately said he would go back & check. He came back & advised they would be finished cooking in 15 minutes. I told him I would be back at that time. I had my year old grandson with me and we shopped for other items. At 1:30 pm I came back and waited for 10 more minutes. All the while the same female employee was running back and forth and did not acknowledge me standing there. I was still the only customer present. At about 1:45 I called out to her to get her attention and asked if she could tell me when the rotisserie chickens would be ready? She replied, “They are ready but it will take me a while to get them out.” I continued to be patient and the same male employee that had checked before came up to me & asked if he could help me. I told him I was waiting for a rotisserie chicken. He asked me what kind would I like and I replied the traditional. He went to the back and within a minute came out and handed me a bagged traditional rotisserie chicken. I told him thank you and asked for his name and he replied “Daniel.” I then asked for the female employees name and he said “Penney.” I commend Daniel as it appeared he was working in the sandwich section. I don’t know why but it was clear to me Penney did not want to provide me with the normal courtesy up to today that I have always been accustomed to at Publix.
5 starts for cashiers! The pharmacy deserves 1star. Called in prescription the morning before, they said it would be ready by noon tomorrow. I show up at 11:45 (the next day), they said, “it will be few more hours.” So I leave, they they text me 30 minutes later to say prescription is ready 😡😡.
I love the store, always such helpful friendly employees, can’t say enough good things about Publix. So we won’t talk about the over all cost differences. Worth it.
The store is great! Produce has been slacking lately but I don’t think it’s their fault. They are always very nice, especially the gentleman that is super friendly. The only complaint I have is about the pharmacy. I’m actually going to be switching because it’s always problem after problem and it’s so slow.
