DIY’er – called in for an obscure Maytag part to repair the freezer in our ~20 yr old freezer- We found the number; he said he had it. I said I would be right over. When I arrived the part was awaiting for me on the counter. Better price than the parts-direct type sites. No shipping, no waiting. My time was worth it. I am not sure how they find anything in there, but I am not complaining!
update: I ended up buying two parts – downgraded one star due to strict no return policy – It is stated, so I knew, but there should be some flexibility – store credit, or restocking fee etc. for unopened, unused parts that can go right back onto the shelf.
Needed a belt for a 35 year old dryer. Called him and within a couple minutes he said he had it in stock! Arrived to find it waiting on the counter, although I don’t understand how he can find anything in that place. Gotta see it to believe it. My new go-to source for parts.
When he’s open, he’s probably got the part you need before Amazon can deliver it to you, for a couple bucks more. This was my experience fixing my air conditioner’s capacitor in a heat wave – he had the exact replacement. Over the years he’s had parts for fixing my various ice makers and other home appliances.
Inside looks completely crowded and funky, but don’t let that fool you.
The owner is razor-sharp and has an encyclopedic knowledge of appliances and parts.
I highly recommend to search the web for the part number and call in advance.
I’ve done this on several occasions: He always had the part in stock and had it ready when I came in.
Price was close to best online (with delivery). “No waiting” was easily worth the difference.
Definitely a hidden gem in the area!
The very kind gentleman that runs this shop is great and super knowledgeable about appliances and parts! Of coarse it is cluttered, its a parts store!! It’s walls of appliance parts, not a Lowes. That’s how you know you have found a good parts store. 96% of the time he will have it in stock or will order for you and keep one in his shop for next time. I have been purchasing parts for various appliances and various makes and models from this gentleman for over 7 years and I highly recommend giving him a call first when you need a part.
