I had visited Hyatt Aviara twice before and just returned for one night after 8 years. What wonderful, happy memories! Ms. Rain at the front desk provided exceptional service, even walking out from behind the reception to show us where the elevator was in case I forgot. I appreciate her high level of service, and all the staff were so friendly and polite.
The hotel looks elegant with its new renovations. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Both the adult and family swimming pools are outstanding, and the golf course is stunning. I have traveled the world, but this five-star hotel truly deserves each of its stars and has become my favorite, holding a special place in my heart after.
Thank you, Hyatt Aviara, for creating so many happy memories for me and my family.
Nice hotel, nice service, nice rooms but busy. We went during Labor Day Weekend and wow! Was this busy! We couldn’t get a seat at the pool and people were holding seats by leaving shoes and bottles on the chairs that they wanted. The adult pool was better busy still full. The bar/lunch area was packed. There were only 5 tables to eat at. Again, people holding tables. We are at the bar, making a space for ourselves. We went back to our room and read on the deck. For the price we paid, you’d think this place would put out more chairs or do something about the holding chairs over an hour rule. Hawaii does it. Overall, good hotel and hold up to the rating. We just came at a bad time of the year. 🙁
Our ocean view cabana at Park Hyatt was an absolute game-changer for our vacation. The cabana itself was spacious and luxurious, providing a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the pool area. But what truly impressed us was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive and friendly, anticipating our every need and ensuring we had everything we wanted to make the most of our poolside relaxation.
From refreshing towels and chilled drinks to delicious food deliveries, they went above and beyond to create a truly unforgettable experience. They even surprised us with a complimentary chips and salsa with guacamole, champagne and a fruit platter. Overall, the cabana service at Park Hyatt was the epitome of five-star luxury, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book one again on our next visit.
We recently completed our 3rd stay at the Park Hyatt and could not recommend it more for a long romantic weekend, a respite on a business trip, or a family vacation. My only issue, among the many great things, is the exorbitant cost of what effectively is mandatory valet parking ($65 per night but in Carlsbad). Some thoughts:
– The rooms are modern, large, well laid out, and very quiet
– The hotel staff is attentive from start to finish
– There are plenty of places to work, eat, drink, and relax
– There is complimentary tennis, pickle ball, croquet, and more
– Even while very crowded, it did not seem to be so
– They have a great little market with reasonable food, drinks, and more
Highly recommend
This expansive hotel delivers on service and one of a kind amenities. Tucked back behind the lagoon in Carlsbad, The Aviara is surrounded by lush greens for golfing and an amazing pool.
Self serve park is available for $55 and a half mile from the entrance ride via golf cart.
Up to two pets are allowed per room. There is also an expansive grassy area in the back of the hotel overlooking the ocean where kids ran around in the evening.
The spa Miraval was nice and relaxing. Don’t be late they will not allow you to reschedule or make up lost time.
Dinner at the lobby/bar/terrace is seat yourself and can be a bit chaotic in the 6 p.m. hours. The sushi was delicious and the service was outstanding.
