  1. Incredible campus of folk art, including buildings, 2D and 3D art. Learn everything you’d ever want to know about Howard Finster. Wander the grounds to see art around every corner. Also includes his workshops and collections of items he planned to use for art later. The man was very religious, so if you roll your eyes at that type of stuff, this place may not be ideal. He obviously faced some neuro divergent challenges and these are exhibited in the massive collections of sorted metal pieces hung from individual nails on the walls. Felt slightly invasive in that way, but an incredible opportunity to get a real inside look. Keep your eyes on the paved paths for art under foot. Our pre-teens enjoyed the photo scavenger hunt very much. Worth a trip out to see everything.

  2. Incredible!! Christian or not, it’s deeply moving. I wouldn’t take my OCD dad here, but pretty much anyone else. It did have a cover charge that was more than $10 a person.
When we went, 10/2023, the house wasn’t open and under repair, but the grounds were covered in trash to treasure art that is Christ centered. Lovely place! Check it out!

  3. A really stunning and interesting look at the home of a famous folk artist. Unique in every sense of the word the gardens are a fun place to walk through and enjoy some of the best folk art Georgia has to offer.
The offices and shop are quaint and offer a short video on Howard Finster. The gardens are a self-guided tour.
