Stopped for a lunch while passing through. The ambience and staff were great. The menu had a large selection but the food was just ok. Donāt fear the hot sauce used in several dishes. It was mild at best. My āvodkaā sauce gnocchiās were plentiful but not much flavor. They were a bit chewy for my preference. Restaurant is nicely decorated and had a nice bar back.
Stopped in during pike days while we were at some area garage sales. We tried the ghost pepper soup, zucchini fries for starters, and my husband had the fat italian with ghost pepper fries. I had a side salad and fettuccine alfredo. All of our food was delicious. The salad was fresh, and food was quick to come out and hot. Our hostess and waitress were friendly. My husband and I love old historic places. This restaurant has lots of pictures and written history on the walls, even a few ghost stories š We will definitely be stopping back next time we are in town!
Pacis is a local hole-in-the-wall that I discovered in my two years living in the California PA area, and more years spent attending the university. After long days working, with school as well, there were days where I wasnāt going to cook, and needed to recharge from the week. To do so, one of the top options was ā and remains ā Paciās.
Sporting a long standing reputation, and not afraid to wear that vintage aesthetic on its sleeve, it is quaint and humble from the outside. Inside, itās much the same. Though, the food is where the magic happens. A simple menu is chosen for its specific food offerings that they have chosen to hone in on. I genuinely donāt think thereās a bad choice on the menu, and they aim to satisfy.
If youāre coming in from somewhere big and important, or even closer to Pittsburgh, it may seem very humble. But you wonāt go away hungry, or wanting for good food.
Paciās catered an after funeral meal for our family. Their staff demonstrated the upmost professionalism, kindness, and excellence is service.
The food they prepared was absolutely delicious with many family members commenting that it was just like the elder members of the family used to make.
I would absolutely recommend using Paciās for catered events.
Absolutely love this restaurant. Their ghost soup and ghost flippers are amazing. Everything is scratch made and canāt say enough good things about the staff. Never had any issues.
