I stayed a few nights at Omni for a teachers work trip, and it was surely the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! the room was lovely, the pool and bar were fantastic, and every single person working at the hotel was so kind and helpful. I truly cannot say enough about the level of service, from the front desk to bartenders to waiters to valets. They all seemed so genuinely pleased to help!
I have stayed here about 6 times in the last 20 years and I often dine here when I have friends in town. We had 75 Real Estate Agents from across North America here yesterday for a very special breakfast gathering and were very impressed with the atmosphere, the views, the staff and the food. We utilized the 6th Floor pool deck which was recently renovated; known as the TORTUGA PLAZA. I highly recommend this hotel for vacation and business travel as well as events and dining. Plus, if you like the San Diego Padres, you can walk straight out of the hotel and into the stadium with their private catwalk! We’ve done this before and it’s so fun and convenient.
Went for cocktails during the comic con rush. Fun and fast bartender. (Handsome looking guy) They had a DJ for the weekend event but his volume control was way too loud for most of the songs and then [quiet?] on 1 or 2 other songs. That’s not the omni’s problem though. Still had an incredible time and will be visiting again next time I’m in the area.
We had a really rough travel day getting here and Noah really raised our spirits at check in. Thank you! Gary was friendly and helpful as well. Very nice people working here.
Water pressure is incredible too.
I work as the Vp of ops for a restaurant company and I am proud to say The Omni San Diego was perfect for my week getaway! At first there was a bit of a room issue, I went down to the front desk and spoke with Dianna. She very astutely & quickly handled the situation and helped us move rooms and made sure we were comfortable and able to officially start the vacation. The newly remodeled hotel is absolutely perfect, the pool bar was the perfect touch. Thou it would be wonderful if they could extend the hours of tortuga(pool bar) and the pool hours, so guests could eat breakfast by the pool and have an even better start to the morning and a relaxing time at the pool in the evening. Fresco cafe is great, it has a variety on the menu and the staff are very welcoming! On my fourth night I decided to order room service from Ace, the food was delivered and dropped off inside from the room service staff. He then said “one moment sir” he went around the corner and returned to the door with a bottle of champagne & a card! So very unexpected but so caring, thoughtful & meaningful. I would like to shed a light on one member of the staff DIANNA! She is highly competent, astute, genuine, caring and has an answer for any questions you might have. Dianna is one of those people who is a rare gem. She truly cares about the guests and her job. She is one of those people who will do anything to make the guests experience better and make the hotel run/operate!!! If I was the Vp of ops for Omni she would definitely be promoted to a GM or the Regional level!!!!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience! I will definitely be returning!!!!!!!!!!!!! PROMOTE DIANNA PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
