  1. The perfect spot for anyone who needs a quick getaway to rest and recharge. I stayed for one night solo. The staff were incredible, so kind and understanding. I was thrilled to have a glass of wine upon checking in, and I enjoyed the peaceful hot tub and pool area. The property is spotless, idyllic, and well maintained. I ate my dinner around sunset under the beautiful trees on the back patio. The hotel breakfast was delicious and nourishing (mini frittatas with asparagus, dill, salmon, and goat cheese), and after checking out I enjoyed a hike around nearby Jack London State Park. I can’t wait to come back for another peaceful weekend.

  2. This hotel is a definite must.all of the staff is welcoming, friendly and offers excellent service. The evening snacks and wine are exceptional. The heated floor in the bathroom was a treat. The views amazing. The breakfast was innovative healthy and delicious. Not to mention Glen Ellen Star is a Michelin starred restaurants that is right down the street. We will definitely be back.

  3. Wow, if I could give a hundred stars I would. Gosh, from the minute we arrived we felt so welcomed! Our hostess was one the friendliest people I have ever met and the type of person you feel like you’ve known a long time already in the way she connects. We really felt like part of a family. This hotel was beyond cute! Clean, comfortable rooms, snacks in room! The most peaceful gardens to relax in and a fire pit area. Pool and hot tub made our night. The pool was so warm and the robes are incredible. Breakfast was on another level! Grateful to the incredible chef and sous chef for their gift to our palates. I’m still craving that breakfast! Although with the exchange it was quite pricey for us, I would go again in a heartbeat. One the highlights of a 14 day road trip and an excellent way to relax and regroup even for one night. We chose to take pizza out from the red grape and eat by the pool and that topped the experience. So delicious. Grocery store near by on Glen Ellen had an incredible deli for to go sandwiches for the road, fully customizable. I hope you get a chance to experience this gem!

  4. I wouldn’t recommend this property for a variety of reasons:
    1. Deceptive marketing and cheap polyester sheets:
I paid over $600/night and booked a King Hilltop room. But the bed wasn’t a king-sized bed! It was smaller than a king but larger than a queen; it’s called an “olympic queen” sized bed. I know this because I measured it after a terrible night’s sleep and confirmed that it’s smaller than a king, yet they charged double the rates on their “king rooms” vs their “queen rooms.”
And the bedding isn’t cotton! It’s polyester and super hot at night. You’d think they’d have cotton sheets, not cheap polyester at these rates.

    2. Hidden fees
I was charged an additional $45 fee that wasn’t part of my reservation originally and stated nowhere when I paid on the website. Apparently, they just started charging a resort fee, but don’t tell you about it when you book!

    3. Loud grounds
The property is on a busy road and it’s noisy everywhere with road noise. But the worst was when I checked in at 3pm on a Sat; the grounds people were there with the super loud leaf blower! And the layout of the hotel is basically like a motel with parking in front of the rooms and no view. And the walls are super thin. You can hear everyone talking outside and driving up the driveway and to the parking lots, which is right outside the rooms.

They did have a very good breakfast. That said, aI think Gaige House is way better down the street.
