Our first visit since the new ownership. The Pub is still the great looking Irish styled pub it was. Dining tables are a little close knit, basically in the same room as the bar. There is outside dining in a wooden fenced area. The bathrooms fit the style of the bar and are clean. Usually, seating of your choice. Quickly greeted by a waitress; Doreece was a charm. We enjoyed a greatly prepared Black & Tan (Guinesse and Harp), pub chips and the new Reuben Rolls. A picture of an open roll to give you a better idea of what’s inside. Crunchy, good corn beef flavor. Our meals were a Reuben, Irish Stew, Uncle Louie, a Daily Harold. They were all fresh and delicious. Not the place for a fancy date night, but great for friends and casual dates, even family. Easy access in and out, parking is ample.
Friendly staff, quick service and fantastic food. Definitely a treat when you want something different. House made chips are fantastic! The only place in town to get a properly drawn pint of Guinness!
So happy this place reopened. The service is exceptional. Walking in feels like a getaway from the real world. It’s unlike any other restaurant in the area. Just reopened and it’s already our go to spot.
First time back under new ownership. Brandon the bartender took our order and graciously accommodated our request to move to the patio as the weather was beautiful. Super nice kid and he won’t hurt your eyes either. Split a Ruben with my aunt and it was fantastic. They even split the sandwich on two different plates… that is classy. Food quality was very good, corned beef was excellent, I would recommend higher quality sauerkraut ( I happen to know someone who makes it locally btw) and a bad ass Russian dressing, or an old school poppy seed one . ( I can give you great recipes!!!) The bread was good and grilled properly. With a few small tweaks this Ruben could be phenomenal. Overall a good experience. My only complaint was a fly. I killed it!!! Lovely place, great service and good food…. with potential to be excellent food.
Update: Grabbed lunch from here yesterday for the first time since the new owners reopened. It looks like most of the old menu items stayed intact but they added a few new items as well including Irish Nachos which I gave a try yesterday. The nachos absolutely did not disappoint. Very flavorful, I loved the tang the goat cheese added, and the portion size was decent. Glad to have this gem back open in the community.
Hands down the best Reuben I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food keep me coming back.
