  1. First visit to Niffer’s. Staff and atmosphere were great. Tried Black and Blue Bacon Burger, and Cajun tots. Burger was cooked well done, and blue cheese was in a clump on top patty, tasted good but a little dry. Cajun tots crispy and excellently seasoned. Overall would recommend, just specify your preference on how you want burger cooked.

  2. First time visiting in about five years. We came because I saw that they have vegetarian options. We both ordered the fried pickles and Mushroom and Swiss Burger. The fried pickles were good, although it doesn’t come with enough dip. It was a $2.25 upcharge for a beyond patty and a $1 upcharge for peppers and onions. It seemed like nothing was seasoned and the bun wasn’t really toasted. It was a lot of bread. We had to add salt and pepper and the Mexicali dip that came with our chips to make it less bland. I’m sure this place is great for people who eat meat. I’ve had beyond burgers at other restaurants and they were delicious, so I don’t think that is the issue here.

Other than the food, the service was good. The restaurant is usually crowded, but we expected that going in. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated. Everyone was very nice.

Overall, not worth the price. Feels bad leaving a negative review, but it really wasn’t a $50 experience for us.

  3. Niffers is a great place to eat in Auburn. We remember eating there with our girls when it opened in 1991. The atmosphere is really great in a true college town. Today, Reese did a fantastic job taking care of us. He took our drink order and had it on the table in a few minutes. He gave us time to look over the menu, which has many choices. My wife had the Albuquerque wrap, which she said was very good. It came with a side order, and she chose fries. I had the Orange and Blue burger. I ordered medium well, but it was well done. The burger consists of a nice size hamburger patty, strips of bacon, blue cheese chunks, crispy onions, and Chipotle sauce. It also comes with fries. It was very good and a good value for under $12. There are a number of other burgers that we enjoy of the burger. (Chipotle Burger, Pearl Burger, Firetruck Burger)
