Dr. Alam made us feel that we were in safe hands. Talking to the doctor you get your problems resolved. She goes through the medical record, prescriptions, and any blood work or XRay, etc.
The Doctor, nurses & staff are professional and very thorough.
I was truly impressed with the nice facility, its location, parking, and the caring staff and friendly can do attitude and smiles.

Dr. Alam is the best primary doctor. She goes above and beyond to take care of her patients .she is very polite, kind and thorough. I am so blessed to have her as my doctor. I highly recommend her.
I went to Shagufta N. Khan for my annual physical in Dec 2022 at Community Health partner office at 650 W Alluvial Fresno, CA 93711. It has been the worst medical experience of my life.
Shagufta made incorrect notes about my annual preventative checkups which should have been covered under my insurance leading to incorrect billing and co-pays from my end when the service should have been free as per my insurance.
Shagufta refused to complete all the routine annual check ups in one visit and asked me to make a follow up appointment for screening like pap smear.
I disputed the charge with the Community Health office and they acknowledged that Shagufta made an error after multiple calls with my insurance and their office and they agreed to refund me months later. And then one year later, on Dec 2023, they are now sending me an outstanding payment for the charge they agreed were incorrect and had refunded me for.
Due to all the mistakes with billing of my first visit, I canceled my follow up for pap smear to avoid further incorrect billing.
In August of 2023, I decided to schedule my annual preventative check up for 2023 and since majority of the offices didn’t have appointments available for new patients, I decided to go back to 650 W Alluvial Fresno hoping that they will not repeat the same mistakes with billing. To my disappointment, Shagufta was again the physician for my check ups. And my experience this time scarred me for life.
Shagufta as usual refused to do my pap smear in the same appointment and then the office staff intervened and asked Shagufta to complete all the routine checks in the same visit.
While pap smear was being performed on me, someone walked in without knocking and they walked out once they realized my pap smear was being done. When I asked Shagufta to please close the door properly, she was very unapologetic and ridiculed me for asking for basic privacy measures during my check up.
Shagufta then went on to charge my 2023 preventative check up visit as a follow up from my 2022 annual check up which wasn’t what I had gone in for and I received another incorrect billing and copay notice after my visit.
Shagufta also prescribed a mammogram screening for me but when I went in for the mammogram screening, the screening center staff informed me that Shagufta had given an inaccurate prescription and hence I need to go back to Shagufta’s office to get it corrected before they can do the screening. She also had incorrect notes about family history of cancer in my patient profile.
The inconvenience, financial trouble and mental torture Shagufta and the Community Health partner office at 650 W Alluvial Fresno has caused me cannot be captured in the above review. But I am sharing this here in hope of others avoiding a similar fate as me. While the Community health partner office staff try to be helpful when I walk in to dispute these incorrect billing, I end up having a different result on my payments due in my online accounts and their call support is never able to resolve any issue. It is a shame that Shagufta is continued to allow to practice there with such negligent behavior and lack of respect for a patient’s privacy while pap smear is being done. And with Community Health partner being a monopoly in Fresno, I am unfortunately stuck with having to use their services.
After my doctor retired I was in need of a primary doctor. Dr Alam was recommended. I’m glad I went to her; she was very thorough and she made sure I was up-to-date on all the necessary tests, vaccines and lab work. I’m a creature of habit and I’m not comfortable with a lot of changes. I hope she finds the perfect location so I don’t have to search for her address every time I have an appointment.
Dr. Naveen Alam is a wonderful caring doctor. My last primary care doctor retired and I had been with her for many years. She recommended Dr. Alam and I am so grateful she did. I feel she cares about me and my health. I had fallen once and called to see if I could get an appointment. She was completely booked up I was told for 2 months out, but that she would tell the doctor. I got a call back in 15 minutes and was told to come in early the next morning. She truly cares.
